There aren't even sounds associated with in and Outlane switches.
I love the pin but it honestly feels like it's barely out of beta.

Many were hoping for a Halloween release.
My disappointment will turn to self loathing for getting sucked into buying a beta pin if there isnt a xmas release.
Quoted from pninja005:Played the game first time yesterday; loved the looks. Now I want one !?!
Wait a week or two. If there isn't a "holy shit!" Code drop by mid January, I think you'll start seeing a bunch of lightly used KISS pins on the market.
Quoted from no-extra-balls:After seeing how long it took to code MET and ST your still bitching that it takes too long to drop code.
In the initial 4 months of MET, stern released FIVE Code updates that included meaningful feature/playable enhancements. KISS, at best, has had TWO.
Nobody is bitching that code is incomplete...Buy within 12 months of release and you expect that.
People are bitching about the time between (sorely needed) code releases for KISS.
Sell incomplete products, expect bitchy customers....Blaming the customer is simply a diversion.
<edited>pathetic to have to choose pins based on who is coding but alas, that's where stern has led us.
They should be embarrassed.
I know I am.
Quoted from hank527:This wait is pathetic.
I may be confusing you with someone else but haven't you been saying a big update is coming soon? Was that based on 'inside info' or just your 'hope'?
For being the 'oldest and biggest', Stern doesnt always act like it. Not having more rigor around programming process/releases is amateur hour.
But again, shame on us for letting it happen over and over and over again.
To bad many of the 'I just want one pin for my mancave' buyers have NO idea the waters they are wading into when they make that decision. They'd think you were crazy if you explained to them that you have to choose the 'programmer' carefully because stern pins arent complete when you buy them (and if you choose 'poorly' it could be years (or never) that your pin will be 'complete').
Quoted from snaroff:It is amateur hour, but "shame on us" for letting what happen?
For continually buying pins that ship without finalized code.
Their 'company culture' would change immediately if no pins were sold until the code was materially more playable than it usually is out of the gate...
(and yes, I know this would never happen)
Quoted from hank527:Another week and no code. Really sad
Just heard next game is DMD as well. WTF?
Where'd you hear that? Same place you heard a 'big update' was coming before Christmas?
Quoted from snaroff:There are plenty of people that wait. The business model of selling through distributors shelters Stern quite a bit. A title can be sold out and still have many units sitting at distributors.
For me, fun trumps completeness. The problem with KISS isn't completeness. The problem is the rules and dots are extremely mediocre. After 200 games, I'm bored and don't power it up. MET was an example of a fun game that was incomplete.
I still hopeful that an update will save the day...
Distributors start ordering fewer pins upfront and sterns shelter goes away.
Dots and rules can be materially improved through...completed code.
Quoted from robotron:stern where is the code???
Its coming! We have our very best men on the job!
Quoted from pninja005:Is it really that bad? I mean it looks so great?!?
Thx for your advice!
It does look great. It's a beautiful game. It's fun to bang around on but gets pretty repetitive and boring right now IMO
It doesn't even have sounds for outlane drains yet. That's how beta it is.
Quoted from hank527:Where is the kiss code? Any Rumors?
I've heard a major topper update will hit prior to thanksgiving!!
Quoted from hank527:Rumor is they started coding 8 weeks ago. It's apparent, kiss code has not been a priority
To be fair...none of the release date rumors you've had turned out true.
Quoted from hank527:I got info from a reliable source. Same source said LCD and Aerosmith is next. Then vault Batman (adam west)
I think kiss has been an incomplete nightmare that sold well. It is the last Lonnie game I will ever buy.
Did your source actually say when to expect code?
Quoted from joekiss:As usual the STDM Gene is just awful.
FWIW, I've had Gene go SDTM maybe 5 times in the life of my KISS...Including during Demon multiball...
Quoted from Bing_Party:They are going to ride the Kiss name but you being a hipster, you think you are always right. Meanwhile I been selling in the tech sector past 20 years and what would I know?? I know on sales alone they will work the code on Gb and make is destine to be a classic, it's all about sales and the more they sell the more budget it gets. So yeah I will be very happy with GB 6-9 months out. Glad to go with my gut on this, it's never let me down when it comes to deals
so kiss is riding on its name so it doesn't need better code...but GB's cant rely on its name so therefore it needs better code....
huh
Quoted from Bing_Party:I am on Rennlist all the time
Tell us all again about how much of a life you have lol!
Quoted from Bing_Party:If the LE sold out in 6 hours and presales are through the roof
This.
GB could ship with beta code and all of that still would have happened. It was literally sold out before it was even officially announced.
If any game needs code to further its sales its games like kiss where the fan base initially buys and then future sales are fueled by casual fans and pinheads drawn to good, fully cooked pinball games.
Quoted from Bing_Party:I cant win
Rennlist = I have a huge weakness for carsz06_(resized).JPG
is that the infiniti with portholes lol?
Quoted from joekiss:So if I buy a yellow car I will have a life?
only if its the midlife crisis model!
(I kid I kid)

That driveway looks very familiar....
Any chance you know kaneda?
Quoted from Bing_Party:Kaneda mentioned in this video. It's pretty funny. » YouTube video
People like him come and go. He's was a confused kid trying to convince people his life was in order by showing off his car.

You should see how he singlehandedly messed up the Pepsi perfect promotion.
Oh, and he has a pinball podcast. And owns 1 pin.

Back on topic though, sounding like KISS code won't be out tomorrow but for sure within 8 weeks...lots of rumors coalescing around a <2 month wait.
Quoted from Wakky:Why are you saying 8 weeks? You know that for sure or just spreading more rumours ?
Just spreading rumors.
Quoted from Indypin:I think it will put it over the top.
That can only happen if its a big rewrite...Not just a polish on existing code. Outside of that I agree with everything you said. Its a work of art with a beautiful light show. I love the shots and features (though the genes head spinner should be reworked into something aggressive instead of a dribble)...
