Quoted from thundergod76:Actually there is another thread talking about the new code. Kinda surprised there isn't more talk about it. Major improvement and I think there's something for most levels of players. I tell the casual or novice player to just hit the lit arrows and demon head and try for multiballs. Other more experienced players I explain the grid to them. No casual player wants to be told they have to hit that right ramp 4x just to light the instruments. Starting to think that more units went to KISS collectors than pinheads. If true it's kind of a shame. KISS doesn't deserve the bad rap it's been given. At least most of the code bitching has subsided.
I agree with the above. I think the code is a great improvement and the game really does give you an experience of being in concert (which it is meant to do). I ran a poll asking long-term value of Kiss LE vs Ghostbusters LE on Pinside and I was a bit surprised that over 80% voted for Ghostbusters. I do understand that the mass appeal of Ghostbusters is there, however, Kiss with the new code really has an opportunity to be re-looked. I had played the game with my wife in an arcade and we both are not huge fans of Kiss. But, when we played the game vs WOZ, TH - it just seemed that much more fun.
