So, how were things in Kingsport today? Any good machines this time?

    #2 10 years ago

Good question.. someone let us know please.

    #3 10 years ago

I wanted to go (just to hang out with everybody), but had to miss out due to prior family obligations.

As far as games go, I figure I didn't miss a whole lot, as every time I go to an auction it's pretty much a bust with games either going for way too much or being bought back by their owners.

The video games were the lowest prices I have seen in years, example I took a 2 player sitdown Wing War by Sega and it was bid up to 100 dollars. I sold another last month at Winston Salem for 300 dollars in worse shape. A House of the Dead sold for 170 and I sold one last sale at Winston Salem for 700. I do not know if the 170 was a buy back or not as it was not my machine.

I did sale a TFTC for 2150 and NIB ACDC pro for 4300 in parking lot and pins in the auction. I sold the following Circus V. For 6000, Big Buck Hunter pro 2900, Elvis Gold for 3800 or 3900 and bought back Xmen Wol LE for 5200. I purchased Space Station for 800 and would like to thank the auctioneer for seeing, hearing my bid at the end as I was across the way looking at redemption machines and figured I would loose out. Pleased with my new used pin. It was a pleasure to meet many new Pinsiders, hope everyone got some great video deals there were many.

Hey doughslingers, I would like to thank you for your efforts at the Atlanta Pinswap last weekend.

    #6 10 years ago

    I'm curious as well.

+1, WOZ and Ultimate Face ACDC were the hits of the show. Great getting to talk with you again as
    well.

Was this auction a complete dud? We usually have quite a bit more post-event discussion than this.

    #9 10 years ago

I took home a Grand Lizard and Terminator 3 from the parking lot and sold my friend's No Good Gofers in the lot as well.

    #10 10 years ago

I took home a stern Dracula for 150.00 in pretty good shape. Not working of course but complete.

    #11 10 years ago

Wow. WAY more pins than the last Kingsport auction I went to.

    #13 10 years ago

Golden, nice picture . What were the pins at the other end ?

    #14 10 years ago

It would have been a good day to be a seller Saturday. Some reasonable stuff but overall high prices.

I haven't been to one of these auctions but that seems to be the statement lately.

    #16 10 years ago

That's a lot more pins than normal!

    #17 10 years ago

Both of the Ninja Turtles pins sold in the 1200 to 1300 range. The buyer was impressed with his CV purchase as were many others who thought it looked like it came right out of the box instead of the Xmen LE pin at the end of the row. Maybe it was the LEDs in the CV? I think the pin may be headed to a railroad amusement park in North Carolina.
Often Kingsport has even more pins, they seemed to have spaced them out better allowing you to see the sides and heads better which may have seemed like more but there was no second back row the last few sales as in the past.

    Nice!

I'd have to disagree on the Voltaire l.

I wonder if it's Tweetsie? There's also a railroad type attraction in Spencer, NC, but I'd call it less of an "amusement park".

    Just $3,250 on ACDC??

IT was a buy back. I took it in on trade friday and it was on my truck, so i went ahead and put it it the auction. But wasnt willing to let it go for that. Other than one broken plastic, it was very nice, I was very happy with the trade, but i have more into it than 3250, so i brought it back here to Illinois. Not sure what ill do with it as i already have a premium, so im either going to sell it or trade it. SO if your looking for an ACDC in central illinois, pm me, or if you just want to play one since there are none on location anywhere near here, pm me and ill let you come play this one while i have it

    Thanks for the price list!

    #28 10 years ago

Those prices still sound better than the last few WS auctions...

Sample production, they are like three different kinds of CV, all with insert issues of some kind.

Yes I think it going there, it has the home roms in it as I forgot to change them for mine I am keeping, hope he changes them before placing it there as it only allows for free play no coinage.
