I have not. Mind you, I have always either used PBR or sought used parts (if I needed a complete mechanism).

Saying that, coils rarely fail. I assume you have done the resistance check to ensure it is the coil at fault?

The hold coil often looks fried given its constant use. A very quick and easy check, but be careful, is to simply jumper from the 24v transformer lugs to the coil and see if it pulls in. A safer way may also work, just holding a 9 volt battery to the coil lugs and see if it holds the plate in place (it won't have enough juice to pull it in, but it may keep it there).

Long story short, coils are usually the last thing to replace, it's usually something not making the circuit to activate them.

As for the score motor, I would firstly manually inspect every switch, give a quick clean with your flex stone and ensure they all close and open as they should. That can often fix a whole myriad of issues!
