This is being posted for a friend.

Game will not start a game from the start button. If the game is forced into play(opening the D relay), the play field has lights but no power is going to the coils(switches do not activate the coils). Jumpered the 10amp fuse from the fuse block(red/white) and can activate the coils that way. We also have continuity from the start relay to the same red/white wire in the fuse block and we conform there is power coming from the red wire off the transformer to the fuse block. We can not find continuity from the red/white from the jones plug to the fuse block, so the thought is, there is something not sending power between the fuse block and the jones plug. Any thoughts on where to look next?

Would like some clarification on something....there is a 470ohm/2 watt resistor that is listed on the schematic that is going from the A coil(can't locate it, assume it is the 'AS' coil) from a blue/white/red wire to the alternator on 0-9 unit. Can not locate this resistor. If someone has a picture of this to verify its location, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well I don't know that Im a better tech, but sometimes a different set of eyes on a game can make a big difference. I learned this just a few weeks back with some awesome help from this forum and a good friend from Deland, Fl!

We thought the same thing, strapped by the 0-9 stepper, since the schematic shows the resistor right before reaching that unit. We looked behind it and all around it and there is no sign of it. We did find a blue/white/red wire as shown on the schematic and it was clean with no break-offs or legs sticking off the connection. Its quite maddening as these are usually pretty obvious, hence someone who might have a picture of one could help. I looked on IPDB and that bock box pic is sans resistor too.

I do think the issue is in the lower unit though as power is getting to the start relay form the fuse block, but not to the play field.

Yup, thats what we discussed and Im glad the jumping found the fault(sort of). There was power going to the fuse block, and from the block to the start relay, but nothing after that so if it isn't getting through the jones plug to the Play Field, then there is something wrong between the two. I would follow the schematic and see if there is anything else in series. If not, you could have a wire break at a bend, tied spot, etc. So the quick and dirty thing you could do is just solder a wire between the two points bypassing the break.

So looks lie the bugs are stamped out, for the most part. If anyone has a KoD with the resistor, that would be a big help if you could post a picture. Schemetic reads it going from a blue/red/white wire across to the black wire down stream from the A coil.
