Question on a game like this do you use plastic protectors and do you put mylar on where the ball drops onto the PF from the ramps?
We are just about done now.
This game has been a bit more troublesome on the tech side .Turns out the "special ROMs" were really just ROMs incorrectly installed and a couple of rough factory prototype floor build things had to be dealt to build the nicest game possible.Things like crappy wiring, poor assembly and evidence of numerous changes had to be sorted out but everything is now in order less getting the lower display glass properly seated so it does not continue to rub the glass .John is taking care of that. This is where we stand. The next update will be the final pictures.
Quoted from kaneda:Amazing. But I'm only interested in an LE version.
Thanks but I think this is as close as it will get
Insane-O-Power Data East flipper coils from that era + zany long flipper bats... I'm cringing a bit thinking about what someone is going to do to that work of art. Terrific work.

A level of protection is always put in place for anything I know or think might be an issue.A little tougher to predict on games like these with less documented history but most of it is common sense.Mylar at the ball drops and a protector at the drop target bank seem like good ideas all implemented here.

All I can say is : when can I buy it ?
Fantastic job, will need to send some games to you now as well
The keepers at least
Great Job again !
It will take a while to get a link together for the final pictures but here are some of the highlights. Can't thank John enough for his help on this project. It really helped finish out what was a very incomplete but completely unique version of this already rare game.

And of course, the restoration itself is as good as it gets as well...
Now we know you are not human after all. You must be a hybrid human/alien here for our pinball enjoyment.
Seriously you and your work level amaze me. Keep it up.
Awesome work! I'd be reluctant to play it if it were mine, just too nice and rare to slam a metal ball around on.
Has everyone FINALLY noticed that when making the claim that the games is "as good as a HEP" is so off the mark that it makes absolutely no sense? It's a pinball Faux Pas, don't make the claim.

100% agree. I would build a glass case around the entire pin and just show it off. For your eyes only...no touch.

I'd love to see a pic of the cabinet front with one or both of the status lights on. Or a video. Another fantastic restoration Chris!
Quoted from Tekman:Chris,
It was my pleasure to help out on this project. It really did turn out amazing!
John
John, you deserve credit for your contribution - well done!
Wow Chris, amazing job man. Will you consider, please, posting a video of the finished Big-Flipper version so we can see it? It's probably the only chance we will ever have to see how the Big-Flipper version played.
Finally got the finished album together.
Thanks for all the positive comments.Makes it worth taking the time to document.

Thank YOU! For someone like me, who knows nothing, it's a REAL treat!
really nice job chris.
and it begs the question, when are you going "on tour" to start giving lectures on restoration at some of the expo's?
