That is the nicest AFM I have ever seen. Awesome work done on a beautiful pin. Man that is amazing!

I don’t want to divulge pricing information as it relates directly to Eric’s project (not sure he wants that info floating around on the web). However, I can tell you that my personal MB project cost me around $6k without labor - being a nice guy sometime I work for free Keep in mind that my MB was done to the absolute extreme. In general you can figure the following ball park prices:

(1) New repro playfield w/ clear coat rework + shipping = $1,200

(2) New cabinet w/ decals + shipping = $2,000. If you have the original cabinet restored you’ll probably save some money, but the restorer will charge you for the labor associated with the work (that labor cost depends on who is doing the work).

(3) You can easily figure $2k to $3k in parts (ramps, plastics, coin door, mantis metal parts, switches, DMD, etc.). Parts get expensive quick. Hell, Planetary wants $50 for a set of coil wrappers.

(4) Plating and powder coating work is relative to what you want. Again, this can get obscene if you go crazy, but it looks so shiny right

(5) MODs are customer driven as well. Eric’s machine has: a color DMD, upgraded speaker package, Bill Ung kit (and the expansion kit), shaker motor, custom painted ships, custom backbox lighting kit, full LEDs, black mirror blades. So, you could spend well over a grand just in MODs.

(6) Labor – This is subject to the scope of the project and who the restorer is.

If I owned a game like this, I'd be afraid to play it because it's too damn nice! I'm thinking felt ropes around it with fancy jewerly store lighting above it.

Great Job Mike, you do amazing work! I've watched all your videos and there's no doubt that you have a passion for what you do, keep it up!

Got the coin door back from Alex. Nice guy and quality work for sure.

Mike, first of all your work looks outstanding! Good to see a fellow Florida pinballer bring this home! Sir, you refer to an Alex on the coin door work. Can you provide contact info?

New oak wood side rails installed, much better than the cheap laminated pines ones from the factory.

mike, did you paint the oak wood rails afterwards or stain them?

This thing is going play super fast. Can I play it!

I like the inside of the cabinet and under the playfield best.

Great job!

#76 11 years ago

Awesome work, Mike.

The only thing I don't care for is the gunmetal detail on the saucers.

Other than that, beautiful!

I missed the Kentucky game the other night. I'm glad the Gators won, but you never want to see anyone get hurt. At the end of the day it's just a game.

#83 11 years ago

That game is so sick!

#84 11 years ago

Another great restore Mike!
