    Glad that you got your money back, but stealing and defrauding is not something I am willing to "forgive". The "heat of the moment" excuse was BS. He sold the machine to someone else and did not refund you, well before things got heated. While I did not agree with the vigilante theme of the last thread I did/do feel like he needed to be called out and the authorities informed. What's his excuse going to be next time he rips someone off? This is just paving the way for his next scam.

    That sums up my feelings pretty well

    I am glad that the OP was refunded and no longer has to go on an epic revenge quest. But to go from an engraged mob intent on kicking this guy's ass to grovelling for free crap in a matter of days...

    at least we know where Pinside stands on this. But am I wrong about this as the OP is the one who started this thread and states HE forgives the guy. Who am I to judge that?

    But, it still seems less than optimal. Still better than many of the outcomes suggested in the original thread though.

    I think this is ridiculous. I do not need a shaker motor that badly. If I want one I will buy it from a reputable seller. Sorry, not playing along. To the OP, glad that you got paid back. You did not deserve what happened to you after you paid in good faith, for a machine that you were expecting to get.

    This Kevin guy could have probably gotten away with not cutting that check. His reputation was already irreparably tarnished in the eyes of many here. It's not clear how legal action to recover the funds would have gone. For whatever reason, he did write that check.

    I wouldn't be surprised if the Op told Kevin: if you don't refund me, everyone will blacklist you. If you do refund me, I'll make sure everyone knows you made it right.

    We can speculate as to why Kevin refunded the money all day long, but the reality is that he did so, and that the OP is very lucky that Kevin decided to do so.. It could have gone a very different way. If I had gotten my money back after all hope seemed lost, I'd be pretty happy, too.

    I don't think the Op is saying we should rush to buy pins from Kevin, but rather we should forgive this instance because he did ultimately make it right. Wasn't it the third post of his that said forgive but don't forget?

    The shaker motor gimmick? I like it, but to each their own.
