It's a raging debate now. Do you want a D82-style wppr farm with virtually no breaks, and truly long days with 2 full tournaments a day over a 4 day weekend?
Or do you prefer a 2-3 day "single tournament" format with more breaks and more room to breathe, socialize, and sleep? I prefer the latter, some prefer the former, and many love both.
A great example of an open to anybody two-day tournament that isn't a death march would be the recent Allentown Pinfest, or the upcoming Pintastic show in Massachusetts. You can play in these tournaments and also enjoy the show, your friends, and whatever else you want to do.
