What's this "respect as a sport" thing have to do with betting?
Vegas you can literally bet on anything. I'm not aware of some respectable sport qualification thing that Las Vegas has to abide by. They even gamble on pro wrestling and literally any competition show with judges, network exec descision makers, and sponsors all who totally have friends in Vegas.
