The wagering angle is a valid point. The IFPA and pinheads would like to see pinball recognized as a sport equal to others like tennis, bowling,or whatever. If the players in the world championship of any sport don't try they would be dragged through the coals be the media and people who wagered on the outcome would be out for blood. Pinball will never be recognized as a valid sport if players who we all know are capable of winning, even when behind, give up. Vegas or the odds makers won't touch pinball if players (all the players not just Keith ) give up and plunge and walk away. It reflects bad on pinball, and it's not like chess were the outcome could in theory be known before the game ends. All of us are players and we all know anything can happen with one ball regardless if it's the first or last.

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

    LMAO!!
Cause boxing has a storied history of being squeaky clean over the past 100 years.
Oh wait, no it doesn't, it's infamous for being an utter cesspool of fixed fights, mob involvement, "No mas!," dudes flying into the ring with hoovercrafts, people biting others' ears off...
And yet, "Vegas and the oddsmakers" are still heavily invested in the fight game.
Just providing a little perspective. Your angle is insane and shows a complete lack of awareness of the history of sports and wagering and what oddsmakers will or will not "touch."

Ok so you would be fine if the boxer you bet on just sat down and said I give up.Im just talking about pinball getting some more respect as a sport. Not the history of Mob fixing sports.lol

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Boxers literally sit down and give up all the time.
You said "vegas won't touch" pinball because Keith pulled a No Mas.
I was just pointing out that Vegas has continued to touch boxing after Roberto Duran pulled THE "No Mas."
Just seems a little dramatic and not grounded in reality. Vegas will "touch" whatever it thinks can make it money.

Ok I guess you don't think that players giving up reflects bad on pinball. And yes I think vegas would not touch pinball if players didn't try to win in the world championships.
