The wagering angle is a valid point. The IFPA and pinheads would like to see pinball recognized as a sport equal to others like tennis, bowling,or whatever. If the players in the world championship of any sport don't try they would be dragged through the coals be the media and people who wagered on the outcome would be out for blood. Pinball will never be recognized as a valid sport if players who we all know are capable of winning, even when behind, give up. Vegas or the odds makers won't touch pinball if players (all the players not just Keith ) give up and plunge and walk away. It reflects bad on pinball, and it's not like chess were the outcome could in theory be known before the game ends. All of us are players and we all know anything can happen with one ball regardless if it's the first or last.
