Going to be about 100 degrees today in San Diego today. Got me thinkin about my situation...

Just this past March, I put a Maverick in a western style saloon bar in my house. Prob is I have a nice wood burning stove in the same room. During winter, when I fire it up, the entire barroom gets to 105-110 degrees, but makes the rest of the house nice though.

What can I do to protect the Pin from the heat? I'm thinkin what Chuck does on Better Call Saul, a foil blanket of some sort?

Before the haters and smart asses ring in...yes, believe it or not it'll sometimes drop to upper 20s overnight where I'm at in SD.

And even though it's a Maverick, it is mine and worth protecting...

Well, any kind of blanket or cover won't really do anything except to protect from immediate radiant heat. The whole machine will still rise to the ambient temperature in the room. I think the real question you need to answer is what's the max temp the machine can sit in safely. Id think 100 degrees is safe as they must be designed to work in hot climates. But I think the bigger concern is the range in the flux in temperatures.

That's for electomagnetic radiation, not heat.

There's a heat shield material that looks similar, though.

It's hot alright, however I wouldn't worry about it as these machines when operating with all the lights and electronics will heat up to a temperature higher than what we will see today. If you are worried just leave them off until it cools down outside a bit.

    Shades always seem to work...

That heat is probably ok (it can get really hot inside the cabs of some these machines, so think they can handle it). Are you going to play it at that temp, or just have it in the same room?

I'd be more worried about humidity changes over temp, though not sure if you're saying it will drop to upper 20s, or is that somewhere else?
