    Easy choice. Keep the AC/DC.

    #8 4 years ago

I would keep Lucy all day long.

    #9 4 years ago

    Luciiiii !

    #10 4 years ago

I have both, but I prefer Star Wars, a lot more variety to the code
So much to do, with all of the great movie modes
AC/DC is way too repetitive, I keep it because I love the band

    #12 4 years ago

Luci is a better playing pin. SWLE lasted 2 weeks at my place.

    #14 4 years ago

Had both - keep the AC/DC.

    #15 4 years ago

Never trade your wife for a pin

    #16 4 years ago

I’ve played both .. Star Wars , a game that has so much , you won’t regret it .

If the Deathstar shot on Star Wars wasn't broken then I would say Star Wars, but that shot breaks the game for me on the LE/Premium.

    #18 4 years ago

    For me:
    ACDC>Star Wars

    #19 4 years ago

    Luci!

Never could get into the new SW pin...I actually prefer the old Data East one.

    #20 4 years ago

I bought a Luci a year and a half ago and still enjoy it, so I'd say keep the Luci. I like Star Wars Prem/LE as well, but I wouldn't part with Luci to get it.

    #21 4 years ago

    Luci by a large margin.

I’ve never been a fan of Star Wars. I love the movies, but the pin always leaves me flat. I just don’t like the shots. I haven’t enjoyed a single game I’ve played on it. I’ll only play it in competition if I have to, but never for fun.

All that being said, I’m not the “be all, end all” of pinball. There are people that love this version of SW, and enjoy playing it. Just because I think it sucks is meaningless. If you love it, switch.

With all due respect I completely disagree. Star Wars blows Luci away with way better animations, layout and overall play. Star Wars is a journey game that will immerse you in the experience where as Luci is just a music pin that will feel like chopping wood over time and gives you tons of cheap drains. I also think the mini-playfield is not fun and breaks up the game and flow. For me that trade would be a no-brainer, ditch Luci and pick up Star Wars. Sold my Luci and never looked back.

    #23 4 years ago

I have both ACDC prem and SW LE. I can't see selling either, but if I could only have one and had one for a while I'd do the trade to get some time on the other.

    #24 4 years ago

I am a fan of both Star Wars and AC/DC as properties and as pinball machines. For me, the choice is super easy: Star Wars all day long.

It’s really a personal choice. If you feel like you are not finished with Luci and keep hitting the start button every time you get in the game room, don’t sell it. If you are ready for something different, Star Wars is a great game.

I have sold some great pinball machines, but with very few exceptions I sold them because I was ready for something different.

Thanks guys I think I will look for a diff pin to trade it towards

    star wars = failed again

Maybe there's a Kenny Rogers Roasters with a SW to swap?

Have had both and love both. Go with the Star Wars for a change of pace. Also, I don't like the Lucy version.

I'm probably in the minority here but I'll just say that I'm not a fan of ACDC's ruleset. I prefer objective based rulesets and ACDC's tends to focus on points versus progressing through a themes story with mini wizard modes along the way. Most of ACDC's modes are repetitive (including the multiballs) with the same shot being hit over and over for points.

It doesn't help that the only wizard mode in ACDC is locked behind beating all 10+ modes, a near impossible task for most players. The lack of mini wizard modes really hurt the long term enjoyability of the pin for me as did the minimal coding for the lower playfield. I owned a premium for a few years but eventually grew tired of it. However, if you don't care about having a deep objective based ruleset and just want a fun fast pin to jam out with then ACDC is one of the best pins out there.

Star Wars is an excellent pin, at least the premium / LE. The game has full assets from the original trilogy and has a very deep objective based ruleset with multiple mini wizard modes. I only sold my LE as I had chance to grab a Pirates LE.

I've owned both (have SW currently). Luci was a hard pin to let go of and if I had more space and cash, I'd still have it. However, I think (for me) SW premium/LE is a better game. SW has deeper rules that are more mode-based than score-based and I prefer the SW theme.

There were two reasons that I let go of Lucy. The lower playfield was a grind and I found myself trying to avoid the songs that used it and ultimately, I felt like the play came down to starting and stacking the three main multiballs. I loved them, but they became stale after several years. Sure, there is encore, but I was never going to see that lol. I did love having a huge jackpot loaded in the cannon. That was a rush.

All the new Sterns suck, they're all the same.

I would keep Lucy. It's one of the best pins out the IMO.

Well said. Sure we will get more opinions for acdc, but I sold my AcDc refinery edition premium and took the money for SW premium. I loved AcDc but to me SW premium is more variety and the hyper loop is the greatest toy in pinball imo.

Either way you are ok, I think SW is more punishing especially trying to keep my bonus x high. I had longer ball times on AcDc.

Great point about mini wizard almost like SW has several like destroy the Death Star etc. that are not that hard to reach. I can not believe how much I love the rules on SW, AcDc has great rules but sometimes the note pre or temp etc was almost too much to comprehend or care about. But SW has the honking 20x or 40x right there it’s just hits you over the head if you get that teed up for a good shot.

Make a built up hyperspace hurry up at 40X. If done right, that is over a 1B point shot. What a rush! Doesn't happen often, but sometimes the stars align and allow for it. Some don't like the movable shot multiplier, but I think it is fantastic. Combine that with loading more than 2 balls in the hyperloop and its spectacular.

I made this same trade essentially awhile back. Sold my AC/DC I owned for 5 years(which is still one of my favorite games of all time) and got a Star Wars premium. Initially I thought I would regret it but I really love Star Wars, I think it is a more fun experience overall. In a perfect world I'd love to have them both but can't keep them all forever. Too many cool games out there, pick up new ones and you can always go back and grab the old ones later if you miss them that much.

I've owned a ACDC Prem and Star Wars Prem...I've missed ACDC some, if I could ever get it again cheap I'd jump on it, but I've never missed SW for a minute since I traded it.
