But when you get to discussing Kaneda, the reason you posted here, it gets a bit confusing. You state the 3 ways people took the news of his show ending, then stated how he thrived on negativity, and how you feel that's toxic in general in society, and an easy angle to take, but then you go on to dismiss him, say you don't listen to him, and refer to him as a dick and an asshat. So....so much for not being toxic as well?
Just doesn't seem a novel take or a kind one, so why bother crowing about your episode here?
Also. I don't understand you stating you liked the TMNT property long ago, yet have zero interest in even playing the game. I believe that's what you said anyway. Again, I just don't understand that an outright dismissive nature/view is supposed to be....engaging.
When I listen to any podcast or read any article/blog/personal piece, I approach it often with "Who is this person? Should I care about their views, and do their views feel investigated, informed, and well thought out?" In this brief episode, I felt none of that as a listener.

Answer: Not being toxic just genuine, even if I felt a bit greasy afterward. I've never listened to one of his shows but have been involved in the drama created and to some good people and it was unpleasant. After all the news regarding his departure, I simply wanted to state my thoughts and stance on the subject. Some of the feedback I received was positive and negative. It was a one-off and not something I intend to make a habit of.

Answer: I am not a Stern guy, which is why I am not interested in playing, despite being a TMNT fan. I do like the machine and give it continued praise in the following episode. But, it just doesn't do it for me for whatever reason. I am a huge horror fan and liken it to like Halloween: Resurrection; love the franchise but not the movie.
Finally, my normal, my shows come with much more fanfare, see Episodes 1-8. After eight I decided to upgrade my music/podcast gear and in that stage of transition, recording on my mobile rig, episodes 9 and 10 are very much a tongue in check expounding on various headlines of the month. Regardless, I appreciate you taking the time to check it out and maybe keep it on your radar. The show is still in its infancy and with each episode, I am learning more about editing, writing, showmanship, and performance.

I miss Kaneda. I will be voting Kaneda as podcast of the year for the upcoming Twippy's. He should podcast on some other hobby, he's super entertaining to listen to.

Productive? Nah. Interesting read though. I’m still standing on a Rock solid ‘meh’ on K gone and listening to other podcasts. Just couldn’t stay tuned without K’s special brand of junk news. He was fun. Sound of the road or NPR is fine. (1:15 one way to work).

Which podcasts do you recommend? I definitely do not want to listen to podcasts about tournament points/whoppers or pre-dmd game reviews. I can skip through those parts if the rest is interesting. Another turn off is slow talking.

It seems most pinball podcasts mainly fall into these categories: the excited naive noobs that are usually full of positivity but little criticality; the narcissist that makes the show about themselves a lot but can be either overly gushing about every new game or negative; the overly technical or robotic such as with regards to tournament play, rules, or in lack of personality or energy in the entertainment side of podcasting; and some have a mixture of a noob or technical person with a person that has/had a part of their career in the hobby.
For me the best podcasts are energetic and entertaining while having a good fairness of praise and criticism for all games including the newly released games. Some of those aspects seem to be missing from just about all existing podcasts.

We all know Kaneda is a drunken asshole but he still has/had the best pinball podcast by a large margin. His history shows were great. Was a great interviewer. Put stern on blast for their shit which no one else will do because they are in bed with them. No one can deny his sources/spoilers/leaks were spot on a lot.
Hoping Carey can fill his shoes and bring something similar without all the attacks though!

I just want a podcast where I don’t have to listen to the panel sing, spend an hour talking about every McDouble they ate, spend an hour promoting their other businesses, or talk about every shit they took on the john for the last month.
Sorry, I've tried to listen to other podcasts in the field and they are mostly off topic the whole time or have 10 minute introductions and corner AF. Keneda needs to come back ASAP.

Then he is very unique only i think 1 or 2 percent of people are actually a full narcissist. Women always label men as a narcissist. If he actually has empathy then he is not. Does he fake it or does he actually have it only he knows. Anyway i like his shows.

I've always felt people stating they haven't seen any Star Wars movies are going out, well out of their way to be counter culture cool.
I was going to check out some of your other episodes, and went to check out your game selection. Hit your profile and prior posts instead, and saw more bashing in another thread on Kaneda. And some blurb about him being a white male with a self aggrandizing nature. Something like that. What does him being white have anything to do with his character??? You're brighter and better than that crap, aren't you?
This thread and any Kaneda thread brings out fans, massive haters, and fake ambivalent types.
Reality is, Kaneda is King of the Pinball Nerds, and that irks people with similar traits or desires. The more spurn I see, irrational spurn at that, thrown at him by people, the more I imagine people are envious of his...career, podcast success, place of living, wife, car, condition of his body, etc.
Always the most extreme elements rise to the tops in these threads. It's as disturbing as it is interesting.
