After seeing those pics with wear around flipper buttons, shooter lane, the in-lanes and the shire as you mentioned, the seller definitely fed you lies and took you for a ride. The machine definitely shows signs of being previously routed. I had 2 HUO LOTRs in the past with around 2000 plays each (orig rom version), and neither one showed the wear like yours. Since you already have a LE and are buying this one as trade bait or sell as a "flip". so I can't say just enjoy the game. If you clean it up nice, you will probably recoup your $4k. I'm sorry I just don't see any profit here, at least not here on Pinside.
