played my last game tonight and placed my initials on the top score position. it was a good way to say goodbye to a pin I've had since 08.

#2 12 years ago

good for you! selling anything else?

#3 12 years ago

don't know, still trying to decide if LAH needs to be sacrificed for the cause or not.

#4 12 years ago

What is the cause?

#5 12 years ago
Quoted from captainadam_21:

What is the cause?

more pins of course! I have a new Judge Dredd on the way... but I would like to add another super pin to the line up, perhaps an Indiana jones.

#6 12 years ago

Good luck! The more pins in the area the merrier.

#7 12 years ago

damn where did the buyer come from???

that was quick!

DVDT it has been almost a week since you bought a pin.. you must be getting the itch again. Plus ssathre is gonna have the new pinball machine on the block. You better start working double time on that SS.. ha.

Quoted from dvandentop:

not to far away from me. actually, I was surprised at the amount of replies I had. I thought it would sit for a while.

by the way, I found out today that there will be a transformers release party at the bar in oakland NE coming up really soon. he's going to have about 7 pins set on free play and a TF set up for a tournament.

oh gawd, don't turn this into a competition. it could get out of control real quick.

#12 12 years ago

Glad you were able to get it sold so quick. Hope it went to a good home.

#13 12 years ago

It is all part of my master plan. I am a attorney/accountant you know and very sneaky. The plan is to pit you two against each other until your significant others cannot take it anymore and post a CL add saying they are giving away all your machines while you are at work. And I'll be there... mwhahaha

ya, he has a very nice shop! what pins did he have in stock? did he still have that truckload of project machines? he also had a couple of funhouses last time I was there but they were too spendy for me in the condition they were in.

#18 12 years ago

yeah he had the fun house still the one is in decent shape just needs mylar pulled and a good cleaning. did play a ball or 2 on it.

also he had a shadow some guy was gonna pick up but he hasnt come to buy it yet.
otherwise just a stern playboy and a world poker tour the 2 funhouse.

a demolition man that i was gonna buy @ auction but it didnt work the guy who bought it from the auction assumed it worked but never tried to power it up before bidding i guess wth!

alot of older stuff in the back

#19 12 years ago

WPT is a snooze fest.. stay away from that one. Although the Playboy one does interested me. I love family friendly games like that.

#20 12 years ago

so he must have sold that RFM then. the older stuff is from a truckload that he had bought. most aren't in working order, missing boards and back glasses. I was hoping to find a project paragon in there but no luck.

#21 12 years ago

he had that shadow when I was there in July but said it was spoken for. did he still have that space invaders? would like to have that for the back box alone!

#22 12 years ago

oh yeah he did have rfm, forgot about that one, LOL guy from july must not have came got it yet, i know i wouldnt wait that long. looked like real nice shape.

yes i think he did have space invaders

I am curious about SS Billiards and Pinball Warehouse as neither post prices online. Warehouse looks like they have insane amount of pinball machines in.. largest in the 5 state area.. although SD and ND shouldn't even count. It would be sweet if their prices were decent or negotiable...

SS billiards doesnt sell, well sometimes they do but it is mostly a big billards place with a ton of pinballs from what i have read.

also warehouse is negotiable from what i have heard.
maybe they are marked on the machines there too.

will update as the weekend goes on LOL

#29 12 years ago

I haven't been able to break the negotiable barrier with the pb warehouse yet. at least not significantly but you can only do so much over the phone.

Was that your f14 on cl? I looked at that and was gonna contact but the ad got removed. So is there a local place to buy pin parts around here? And i just moved to Jefferson about 5 years ago why does everyone have so much negativity to say about it? On a side note im trying to get outa here so i guess i answered my own question.

#31 12 years ago
Quoted from Shane300zx:

Was that your f14 on cl?

Yes, that was mine. Removed it after it sold last night. Sorry you missed it.

PinballFixer (AKA Dan) is the guy we were talking about. He kind of out in the country near Sioux Falls. He has a repair service and sells some machines as well. Dont know if he sells parts outright or not, but he keeps his truck fully stocked for his service work. He is a heck of a nice guy, really friendly.

I dated a couple of gals from Jefferson when I was in High School. Besides not having much to do in that town I have really never heard too many negitive things about it. Ive lived in the SUX my whole life, so all the negitive things I hear are about home smelly home.

Simultaneously?

Did you know that in 1940 The Sewer had a population of 82,000 people and Sioux Falls had 40,000. SF decided to go the white collar route and Sioux City went Blue Collar (hence the stinkiness of that town from the factories right on the interstate). 70 years later Sioux City's population hasn't grown and Sioux Falls is at 150,000.

From their website it looks like that have quite a few for sale. And they have prices listed! Except not one for the SS which they say is a prototype. Otherwise 1400 for a WCS94 that needs cleaning isn't too bad.

#33 12 years ago

nope, nothing that fun.

Quoted from captainadam_21:

Did you know that in...

Until gateway computers came about in the 90's we had always been a packing house town, knowen for the largest stockyards in the world, that sat right next to the interstate. Between that and the sewer plant right next to the same interstate, thats where we got the nickname sewer city. actually it hasnt smelled here in like 20 years. Stockyards are gone, packing houses have gone broke and the sewer plant moved. but enough of funk Factoids!

#34 12 years ago

I find that hard to believe. I have driven through that town a few times in the past decade and there is a still an odor that permeates the air.

Shane-- I think sstathre's heart was broken by the twins he dated from Jefferson. And that is why he didn't tell you about his Tomcat. Some wounds never heal...

love never dies lol

#36 12 years ago

LoL thats funny. Im pretty up to date on the stock yards and every now and again you drive by john morrel and get a wiff of rendering but its being tore down as we speak. Guess whats going back there. Another packing plant. TWINS huh id like to find these twins we speak of and well you know cross that off the things to do.

#37 12 years ago

just arrived at the hotel hope to find a deal tomorro

#38 12 years ago

Hey,

From talking to Lloyd (owner of SS Billiards), the games for sale belong to the person who does his web hosting. He can put you in touch with that person, but I can more or less guarantee that if you walk in there looking to buy a pin, you're going to be disappointed. Just thought I'd let you know...

Luke

#39 12 years ago

Any word on if there are machines at that arcade auction?

#40 12 years ago
Quoted from dvandentop:

did you bring your truck or the jetta?

#41 12 years ago

jetta get there an back on 1 tank ftw

wife is saying stuff about if we dont buy another pin lol so now she is ok with it, women....

#42 12 years ago

with my luck, since I didn't go... there will probably be lots of pins there and no bidders. if that's the case i wish you would have brought your truck, you could have been my proxy bidder!

hope you find your SS! if you find a Williams IJ, call me.

#43 12 years ago

Yeah.. you could have been my proxy bidder too. Way to blow it!

There will probably be a cheap Elvira/Paragon/Flash or Flash Gordon with my name on it.

#44 12 years ago

yeah... lol

#45 12 years ago

wtf i hate mn pain in the ass to find beer for sale not even at grocery stores how dumb mn needs to wake up to 2011

there is 1 confirmed pin the guy emailed me back it was a title i never heard of, there is an auction grafe auctions website along pics.

#46 12 years ago

here is the one there :umm:

http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?gid=2699

#47 12 years ago

never seen that one before. will there be a chance to play it before the auction?

#48 12 years ago

i am guessing so since 2 hr preview before it all goes down

#49 12 years ago

Pennsylvania is like that. You can't buy booze at grocery stores or gas stations. You have to go to giant state run booze warehouses. In SD booze is everywhere. When I was home a few years ago the HyVee on Louise just opened their new liquor store and they had a sweet build your own 6 pack section. If that doesn't still exist I am gonna be super pissed.

I have never heard that weird machine. You are fired as a proxy! Your new mission, if you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate Pinball Warehouse.

there was an elvira party monsters with broken glass all over last year went for $600 woulda been worth it to me
