Are you good with a soldering iron? It sounds like you need to inspect your board for cracked solder joints around those diodes and the .156 power connectors.

Recheck around the battery holder. Personally I snip them off the board.

Also pull all the hot glue off of the ribbon cable connectors and reseat them.

Then re-evaluate where you are at.
