How about Pinside personals?

If every other interest group out there has their own (Farmers, Christians, etc etc). Why not?

Would be like going to a pinball show and looking for a date. I'll pass but make no judgements of others.
Quoted from nman:We're getting married at the end of the month and she pretty much hates my interest in the hobby. That said, she will occasionally play a few games herself and she seems to appreciate that our friends enjoy them when we have people over. I think part of the problem is that i got my first machine right as we got engaged so, to her, every dollar and minute I've spent on the hobby is somehow a dollar or minute "taken away" from the almighty-wedding-that-will-be-the-most-important-event-to-have-ever-happened-or-will-ever-happen-in-not-only-our-lives-but-the-entire-course-of-human-history. Yes, she's one of those.
Edit: perhaps i was being a bit unfair. She actually didn't have much to say when i bought a ColorDMD recently after i paid most of the wedding vendors' final payments, so that's something. She does seem to like the machines sometimes, she just hates when i work on or talk about them at all so I'm just hoping she'll mellow out after the wedding stress wears off.
One word to describe this: doom

Lol, can you imagine how one sided that would be?
30 years together and married for 23. She's only casually interested, but is extremely supportive.
In five years I've gone from one pin to twelve with a detached game room 25'x30'.
I travel to shows several times a year alone or with my kids with no complaints. When we travel, she comes along as I seek out pinball in all corners of the country.
I woud say I have it pretty good.
I wouldn't presume to tell someone not to marry etc. I would suggest that you recognize you are starting out with some dysfunction, and it can be quite challenging if you don't work to address it.
How into pinball is my wife?
That b|t€h just killed my GC score on Pinbot. My highest to date was 5.1 million. She just put up 7.9 million. I'm proud of her but she can kiss my ass

I feel your pain.
My wife falls somewhere between passive and moderate; her interest in pins is moderate and she loves playing them, however she is a massive theme snob and is really only interested in probably 10% of the themes out there (mostly horror or fantasy themed). Her desire to buy them is certainly passive though. I've been in a position to buy a pin for a couple of years now, but she does not want me to buy one due to how expensive they are and how much space they take up. I understand that, but we typically just spend that much money going on a trip anyways. Someday I'll get her to crack lol
My wife is responsible for our family's pinball addiction. About 5 years ago she said we should get a pinball machine for us & our customers to play in our store. Well here we are 5 years later with 13 machines in the store & holding large tournaments (our last tournament had 50 players!) every other Friday. We also have a few machines at home & are always buying/selling/trading machines. My wife, myself & our two boys play multiple tournaments a week. Pinball has become a huge part of our lives & it's all her fault!
