Do these need to be waxed before you put them in, or just put them in as is? Prolly a stupid question but I would rather ask ahead of time

Thanks

Don't think it's neccesary, but i do when i replace them or do a shopjob.

I've never spanked anyone with my ramps,

Yeah I have never replaced ramps before. Wish I could find a video of someone doing this so I have a good reference. Any place I can find one?

#6 10 years ago

Just take a lot of pictures and you will be fine

#7 10 years ago

I think waxing will hurt any. I generally wax everything before putting it back in.

#8 10 years ago

Interesting. I never waxed my ramps when I replaced them in my STTNG. Is this a pretty normal thing to do with any ramp in any game when you replace it?

Never wax ramps. The ball flies off in ways it never should. I made this mistake with my first TAF, fired off the ramp and took out the rear switch.

I don't even wax DP PF's, N2 and buffed is super fast, and no crap build up on star posts.

I've just ordered new ramps for my STTNG as well.

You guys using pinball.inc? They are the best

#11 10 years ago

I just installed new ramps on my STTNG last night. Looks awesome, i added an LED under
The alpha ramp as it always seemed dark to me.

I order directly from him sometimes, but if I need other stuff, and another site has them in stock, I get them there. All repro ramps (b/w) come from him though.
