Quoted from zr11990:I put a total of 50 games on it. I hated it that much. It started with the skill shot and went from there. The skill shot is useless, unless you hit the target it shows successful. It directs the ball straight to the flippers and often straight down the middle. POTC is a much better game but with the PF issues there is no way.
Not that it matters now since your game has left. But, 2 successful skill shots = light crowd booster multiball OR…1 super skill shot will light it. So super skill shot, ball to left flipper, shoot under right flipper and you’re in a 2 ball booster multiball that quick. Not useless IMO.
As for the return out of the skill shot, I agree in a sense that it’s not the best design. A small piece of drop dead ball foam or other sticky adhesive will slow the ball so it lands right on the right flipper every time; either to cradle or take a on the fly shot.
This game, like many NIBs needs tweaking out of the box and that skill shot return is no exception.
Also, This game, like many other modern pins, is very touchy and pitch sensitive. If you’re not willing to go the extra mile to dial in a game, I’d suggest going with a ‘samey stern’ non-Elwin pro edition game which are much more plug n play.
