Now have a LOTR to go along with my ST:Pro I got just over a month ago. Owning just one pin didn't last long.

I've only played it a few times before, but everything I hear about it says it's a great pin to own. So excited!

It's a standard stock version w/figurines, but no other mods, etc. In very nice condition though and was well cared for over the years. I've been modding out my ST like crazy so I think I'm just going to enjoy the LOTR as is for awhile. Maybe I'll put in one of those ring shooter rods.

This pinball addiction just got real! Maybe it's a good thing that I don't really have much room for another one.

Congrats! I love my LOTR. Lots of good mods for it.

Congrats man. It my favorite game that I've owned. Enjoy!

That looks like my dinning room but I have the two games flipped. ST:pro and LOTR compliment each other very nicely. Congratulations!

It's my daily player. Congrats.

Thanks guys!

I wish I could be playing it right now but I don't have a hex tool to lock the back box, and it still needs to be leveled. The space I have them in is a converted outdoor patio area that was fully enclosed and carpeted, but the floor has a small slant to it(for drainage). Gonna wait until tomorrow when I can make a run to the hardware store for the hex tool.

Congrats! Personally, my favorite game out there (especially great if you like the movies). There are some really cool mods, but it's still good stock. I would add a shaker motor if you can, it really adds to the game as far as I go. Also, add the plastic protectors, especially for the Arwen plastic, which breaks often. There are tons of threads on here about LOTR additions/mods/protectors you can search and find when you get to it. Otherwise, have fun!

Congratulations. It's a great pin with very deep code. Lots of great mods available, too.

Mine is supposed to be here Monday. Counting the days....

After further exploring, it seems that there are quite a few plastic pieces and protectors either already installed on the playfield or in the cabinet. I also found a set of new/unused target decals(sweet!), and a set of the shire grass decals, also new/unused. There are also a set of unused Cliffy protectors for the Gimli and Tower VUK. Don't know why all of it was never installed, but happy about that.

I think I may still want to get the "Arwen" diverter plastic. The one that sends the ball back to the in-lane. Also thinking about getting the grill decal and volcano blades from PinGraffix, and maybe the sword tip decal too.

I've got a lot to learn about playing this pin as well.

Good to meet you and enjoy the game. It is truly incredible.

I have a modded-up LE. Great game. Get the POTD diverter to protect Arwen. I also recommend the shaker which is very well integrated (have to upgrade a couple of chips to do that...there is a thread on Pinside on what to do). There is also an Eye of Sauron Palantir mod which is super easy to install and way better than the plastic ball with the screw in it.

Congrats on your game. LOTR was one of my first 2 pins. Had an okay routed one but loved it so much I upgraded to a nicer version because I knew it was a long-term keeper.

Wait until you destroy the ring...you'll think your whole pin blew up!

Have a great weekend. Hope you play the heck out of it!
