One of the pinball news outlets, if they want to find out more, could file a request with the police department for all of the paperwork.

You are really comparing having a gay neighbor that watches porn to a pedophile that watches porn?
I don't even know what to say to that because it is so ridiculous. One is very illegal and the other isn't. Child porn is created by exploiting children. Gay porn is not. Do you see the difference? The actual act of creating child porn is harmful to children, and people who view it encourage that and create a market for it.
If I find out my neighbor is a pedophile you better believe I'm either moving or he/she is.

I didn't claim that Trudeau is innocent or guilty, or even what he is guilty of.
I am specifically arguing three of markmon's points that I disagree with in general, applicable to every situation, not just this specific one. If you want me to detail them so you can understand that, I'd be glad to.

Are you arguing that a child can be a willing participant in a pedophilia video? That it is somehow not rape or abuse?
I'm arguing that viewing a child porn video is as bad as molesting them yourself.
#1 - It creates a market for it, thus ensuring children will continue to be exploited.
#2 - A person purposely watching the videos has a high chance to escalate to the next step at some point.
Maybe we just have a difference of opinion on it. I am able to understand that there are certain situations where maybe punishments are too harsh, like a 16 year old boy being charged by his 15 year old girlfriend's parents and having his entire life ruined.
Since I don't see it posted elsewhere here, the charges are listed as: "CHILD PORNOGRAPHY - POSSESS VISUAL REPRODUCTION ON COMPUTER - VIDEO"
The law in Illinois states that it is the onus of the viewer to make a reasonable effort to determine if the actors/actresses in the video are legally allowed to be in the video.
Not implying he is guilty or innocent, so save your torches on that, just relaying information I found.
I don't think I can argue this without getting much more angry and saying things I'll probably regret.

flynnibus I get your points, I just disagree. Be skeptical of me all you want. I'm very comfortable with my moral stance on all of this.
