How about editing the thread title so it's more aptly named?
"John Trudeau arrested on child pornography charges" seems fitting.
The current title could be something as innocuous like, "Just came across this news article that John Trudeau... won the largest pumpkin contest at the state fair."

One would think, but the casual trading days are pretty much gone because it is too easy to do just exactly as you described. Believe it or not, this stuff is big business and it is more often than not purchased from a distributor. Even those that do file share, use very sophisticated methods to mask their identity and location. Those trails are often very very hard to follow.....not impossible, but very hard, and even then it usually leads back to some internet café or Starbucks where anyone can log on.

From my neck of the woods . . . here is how one case similar to JT's shook out:
LOUISVILLE, KY. —
A Louisville man accepted a plea deal on child pornography charges today.
Brian Trees pleaded guilty to 10 counts of distributing child porn and 20 counts of possessing it.
Trees was sharing the images online between July and October last year. He will be formally sentenced in November.
As part of the plea deal, the recommended sentence is five years.

You'll notice so much of it these days has the entire family in pictures enjoying the family affair pinball is. I still thoguht it was just aboot pot & booze but it seems that's being marketed out

it's not about going out of your way to get a reaction to offend someone. I am the way I am. I don't have a filter most of the time. If someone gets offended. It's a them problem. We as humans should be able to handle something we hear and survive the day because of it.
I believe my posts about Motorhead, Iron Maiden, and Oingo Boingo were spot on with the topic of this thread.
Bands that in their songs glorify the subject at hand, but at the same time have been discussed as being new pinball themes.

No, it's a 'you problem'. If you're being horrible, and someone offers you a teachable moment to not be horrible...and rather than learning from it and improving yourself as a person, you say "I am the way I am"...then you're just fucking horrible. Simple empathy and decency.

It sure lets you know which people are worth hanging out with and which ones aren't.
When Stern says that John isn't reporting to Stern, I'm assuming that means that he's avoiding communication and hasn't called into work. I understand dodging any and all communication, but despite all he's (allegedly) done, I would hope that he is only just dodging communication and that he's actually ok. If he's guilty, I'd like him to answer for his actions and pay the legal price, but we don't need any of this getting any more terrible.

I read it differently, the equivalent of "he's on administrative leave without pay pending resolution of the charges" rather than "we haven't heard from him since his arrest."
