Fixed the issue. Looks like a service jumper was left in the backbone
I’m getting a ton of balls flying off both sides of the rails as they come to the inlanes. I noticed there’s no way to adjust flipper strength in the settings. Anyone else experiencing this or have suggestions?

They match the artwork perfectly!
Are these the cornerstone stern pin blades? Any mods needed to make them fit?
Quoted from Amarillopinball:Are these the cornerstone stern pin blades? Any mods needed to make them fit?
So. They're in!
The blades are these ones: https://wizardmod.com/collections/jurassic-park-stern-pinball-mods/products/jurassic-park-stern-sunset-pinball-wizblades
They are intended for the cornerstone machines, but fit this one just fine. However, the cutout for the backbox doesn't line up (totally unnoticeable in the real world until someone points it out), and a hole needs to be made for the bolts on each side (the art actually hides this really well - the bolt is basically camouflaged in with the trees.). Here's a pic of what I'm talking about - notice the backbox doesn't really "reach" where the cutout is, and I have pierced the bolt through the side art.
There is a flipper leaf switch 'guard' on the right side that I had to remove and re-attach to make it look pretty (not super obvious once its all together):
Super happy with how it turned out!

I had this on the jump ramp into right inlane wireform - check out this post for pics and what I did to fix it (I had to 'bank' the wireform pretty aggressively):
Added a second speaker, sub, titan rings and the car from Aries_pinside!
It didn’t improve my scores though

Any method or guide?
Quoted from Amarillopinball:Any method or guide?
I bought the 4" speaker plate from speakerlightkits and had to drill a few holes for it to fit where the bolts were for the second speaker. I haven't redone the first speaker mounting plate because that looks like it requires a few extra holes to be drilled to make it fit. That's on the to-do list
RebelGuitars I'm assuming you had to do the same to replace the first speaker mounting plate, correct? I did take some pics but need to get them from my phone to my computer.
I made a few crimp pins for the molex connector but they were not the correct ones so they are, temporarily, shoved in there with electric tape. My new ones with the clip/spring should be here tomorrow.
I got the Pinnovators PINsub SPIKE2 kit which is plug and play - sub sounds awesome on JDJP. Especially the boom of the TREX.

You could drill two more holes in the new plate for the existing speaker mount studs, but I just snipped them off.
Looking forward to officially joining the club with my delivery this Wednesday. Looks like the family will have a great early XMas present. Our first pinball, but hope it’s the gateway into future machines!
Ok so initial thoughts on the machine before even playing the game:
Unboxed the game and the bottom wood panel had a bolt going through it, obvious factory damage, they are just trying to crank games out with little QC. Not a dig on the game, more of stern in general.
Decal on the coin box door was also peeling off out of the box.
New lock bar is not good. Took a minute to get the 2 hidden latches undone, and the bar to slide out without catching. Is it really more cost efficient to use this rather than a standard lock bar and start button? Not sure what bar was on Star Wars, but there would have been design costs sunk here, seems unnecessary to me?
I weigh 130lbs, not a giant belly by any stretch, and I accidentally hit the start button with it during a game, really thought drilling a real start button would be overkill, now seems kinda like a necessary change.
Speakers - it’s a home game, so they are as expected. Will def try to add another and a sub.
Lights: playfield is daaaaaark in my bright room. Going to add some spotlights.
Playfield overall looks good and kinda like a pro?
Cabinet art looks good. Not in love with the red molding.
Turning the game on - started a game, raptor switch is stuck on; 8-Sw-raptor pen 10 pt sw-bot, so game immediately went into multi ball. Guess the leaf switch was just pinched at the bottom, easy fix but didn’t really get to experience much gameplay yet since I had to fix it out of the box, but the shots do seem fun! Am seeing an issue on the pteranodon ramp, ball flying off into the glass instead of falling into the inlane. 100% of the time so far. Guess I have to bend it as the other players have?
Overall I’m excited for the game, wish stern had better QC. I think Jack designed a good/cool/fun game under the constraints, seems to okay like a pro, so props to him and excited to see his cornerstone with more budget. Wish stern had more QC, especially on home games for possible first time buyers who may not know how to fix things like the switch issue out of the box.
Quoted from Flyfalcons:I was on tonight. Decided to focus only on rescues to get to Restore Power and made it. Also played through Escape Nublar and put up a 21M. Restore Power mode is very fun!
[quoted image][quoted image]
how do u get to restore power mode
Quoted from Sunsfan23:how do u get to restore power mode
It takes 25 rescues to light Restore Power. Start it with the T-Rex shot (it will be the only shot lit, very obvious).
So far I have done. Added speaker, sub out, lighted flipper buttons, and added some spot lights. Great pin. I also modded my lock down so it’s solid now, add a piece of plastic and some hot glue to the edges. Happy flipping

How hard was it to that the other speaker and sub?
I just joined the club and I’m having the ball fly off the end of the ramps every so often. Anyone else having that issue? Any fixes?
Happy81724 really not hard, I just drilled a few holes thru the plastic speaker panel, then I used the pinnovators sub out. Connecting the left speaker with the sub out connector.

Cool, do you have a pic of it wired?
Any tips here on leveling this? I'm going off the playfield bubble leveler and am finding that the back leg levelers are almost at the fully extended position. But this is requiring me to lower the tilt bob pretty far as it's leaning towards the front of the machine now. Is that common? I'm still not perfectly level, so the tilt bob will have to go down even more.

Playfield bubble level is never accurate. If your back legs are fully extended then you are way way way too steep! Also if you find the tilt bob is not centered in the ring you can loosen or bend the ring to center it. Get a digital level and measure on the playfield. Back legs should only be roughly 1/2 the way out to be near 7 degree pitch.

See post #9 in this thread. Mine looks like it had alread been bent inward at the factory.
Does anyone know if the slingshot plastics from The Pin JP will fit on a JP Premium? I actually tried to make plastics for my JP Prem that are like the ones here but the colors didn't match. I don't like how the in lanes are blocked by the dinos above them on JP Prem. If they actually fit would I be able to order a pair from Stern?

Thanks, I was wondering about bending the ring, but sounds like that's okay to do. noob, lol
That is good to know about the table level. How is everyone's tables holding up out of curiosity? I found a back out screw on the left flipper sleeve. And I had a white and now a red GI start flickering. I thought that was odd how fast that was happening. Seeing the GI's are LED. The table is a week old. How is everyone else?

Just had it going for a day now. Game play is great! I'll report back after a couple weeks. Found a random washer in the coin door when I set it up but didn't look too close to see where it came from yet. I'll try to grab a picture of it at some point.
I do have one thing I'm curious about regarding the MDF cabinet. When I unboxed it I found the factory strap securing the backbox to be very tight. It cut through the protective cardboard and took off a bit of the lower front edge below the coin door. I tried doing a touch up with sharpie marker to conceal it, but am wondering if I should do anything else to keep it from getting worse over time. Also, the decal is lifting a bit where it's chipped. I'm thinking a bit of wood putty should work, any other thoughts?
Wow. I'm getting super close here. Just going to pay for it this evening. I'm super excited to buy my first game.
I have one question out of curiosity. I noticed in all the play throughs I've seen it appears no movie footage is used on the screen. A friend of mine has the sw home pin and his has a ton of clips. Just wondering if there are plans for adding them in a update later? Or is there a reason why they didn't include any? Not that it maters at all. I'm still super excited to own this.

They don’t have rights to that content. You won’t see it unless some pinball enthusiast mods it like they did for the full size Jurassic Park
Quoted from Happy81724:They don’t have rights to that content. You won’t see it unless some pinball enthusiast mods it like they did for the full size Jurassic Park
Oh thanks for the answer. Ya, I saw someone play the full size and I saw the movie footage. Must have been modded. That would be cool if someone did that to the pin.
Got mine two weeks ago. Immediately had problems with left ramp opto (Pteranodon) triggering constantly from vibration. Shortly thereafter, the T-Rex head shit the bed and won't release the ball. In fairness to Stern, they have approved my local pinball tech to come fix it and bill them as I'm not comfortable trying to disassemble T-Rex head just yet. Will report back when repair is done.
I have both a Jurassic Park pro and Star Wars pro in my collection. I played a Star Wars pin at a show once and was completely underwhelmed. It did nothing for me. Just seemed like a cheap knock off.
Today I visited my local distributor to get a few games on Godzilla (have a premium on order but looking like the soonest I’ll see it is next August!). They’d just recently set up a Jurassic Park pin. After playing the Star Wars I wasn’t expecting much, but I wanted to be able to at least say I’d given JP pin a few plays.
Man, what a fast, fun, flowy game! JP pin easily holds its own as a proper game. Whereas Star Wars pin felt like a cheap, copycat, knock-off (to me, maybe not to others), JP pin was a fun enough, different feeling game that I could even see someone wanting to have the full size version next to one of these pins.
Great game. Will look forward to playing it again sometime.
That was a good game this morning. Restore Power is more fun to me than Escape Nublar, but the sheer number of shots needed to light a super jackpot makes me feel like RP should be a multiball.
Likewise, considering that the T-Rex head is so prominent, the stand up targets reset after you lose a ball, and it takes three shots to start T-Rex multiball, it seems like not a big enough moment to get T-Rex Multiball. Only two balls and a short ball save time means you lose one ball and it's over pretty quickly. Personally, I feel like more reward for the effort with the T-Rex is warranted.
So whenever you shoot it in the trex and the right drop target is still up, the ball always hits the right drop target on the way down and drains straight down the middle. Could making all the drops go down before the ball is released be in a future code update DeadFlip ? I don’t think it’s a question of making the game easier, it’s just super annoying when that happens. I think this game is in a lot of houses with kids and newbies that may not be able to nudge the machine to stop it from draining. My kids don’t like the trex spitting the ball down the middle
haha.
Quoted from Sphodgin:Anyone else not logging right drains? I have zero after 500 games.
[quoted image]
Check your right outlane switch. It may be dead/stuck.
Quoted from arcyallen:Check your right outlane switch
That was the first thing I checked. It works, the right foot print lights correctly as well as quick ball saves on a right outlane drain. But right outlane drains do not log. I suspect that this is a software bug. Is anyone else not logging out lane drains?

Yup - apparently mine too (about 500 games):
Quoted from Aries_pinside:Yup - apparently mine too
I just did some glass off testing and both right and left outline drains get logged as right drains. It’s clearly a bug, though I don’t think any of us will loose sleep if it never gets fixed.

Agreed. I could care less.
On the other hand I think it may not be saving high scores. I would like to see this get fixed.
Quoted from Sunsfan23:may not be saving high scores
That should be treated as severity 1 defect in my opinion. “Don’t go home until its patched!”
I'm looking to upgrade my SW comic art pro speakers and then swap the old speakers into my JDJP. Can anyone point me to where I can purchase this connector so I can hook up the cabinet speaker to the board on my JDJP?
It's an 18awg female 2 pin connector with these numbers stamped on.

If you are wiring it all yourself you will have to get the pins to crimp and the tool to crimp.
