Hi all, new to the club. Was wondering if someone could look at their shooter ramp and see if it looks like this flap should be in the back of the loop.

Quoted from Phbooms:

Cool i was just wondering if you could tell difference between 5v and 6.3v? I ordered 5v warm whites yesterday to give them a try along with backboard and trough lights. Ill post a pic and what i think of switching to 5v when they get here.

Ive used the Comet 10 led strips and and haven't noticed any dimming. I soldered these onto the 5volt flasher sockets.

Quoted from dos_reboot:

I'm finding the slings --> outlane to be brutal. Is this normal?
Like bullet fast, unsave-able outlane drain monster bad.
My game is setup around 7.5 pitch.

I replaced the slim outlane posts with these star posts. I gives me and the grand-kid a better chance. Still adjustable too.

Quoted from MacGruber:

So unfortunately you have an early run JP that was common it is pooling around the post. Stern fixed this in later runs by removing the artwork around the post because it wasn't bonding to the clear coat for some reason. Here is a picture of my November of 20 JP premium.[quoted image]

I do have an early run with pooling and chipping, Stern has helped me out with a new playfield.

Quoted from shaub:

Yeah, I have that on my early run machine. Im gonna switch it to the mini-post that they seemed to use on later runs. Something like this: https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/530-5005-00

It's not the rubber, it's the size of the post. The stock rubber on mine did that too.

Ha that's what she said. Looks like the post is different, I will change it out. Rubber is ballooned out a lot too! Maybe thats why I have trouble making that S shot and im not a horrible player. Manual shows it as a 3/4" going around 3 posts.

I just figured it out... rubber is only going around 2 post's! Duh.

Quoted from Gentax:

Can someone explain to me why the left outlane is so heavily favored by this machine? I've confirmed the playfield is leveled but I'll have multiple games where I'll drain 3 to 4 times in a row in the let outlane from different areas. Is this a quirk of the game or something else?

I changed the post's and rubbers, at both out-lanes up to the next size. It helped, but still a bitch.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Can a ball even fit through there? Haha

Yes, still hungry lanes. I swear, I think they program the sling power to purposefully hit those outlanes.

#14231 1 year ago
Quoted from Rat:

Could you please post the part numbers for the new posts and rubbers you fitted? I think I would enjoy mine more if it wasn't such a drain monster on the outlanes.
Sometimes I can give the game huge nudge as it's going down the outlane and the ball still goes straight down without touching anything. Other games I'm fairly good at saving outlane drains, JP not so much.

Actually I was talking about the inside post. I changed it from the metal post with a 7/16 od rubber to a plastic post with a 3/16 rubber.

Quoted from KneeKickLou:

Well that sucks
Trying to change our rubbers and this nut didn’t want to come off apparently
[quoted image]

Same thing happened to me. That Pinball life newton ball is not the same though. The shaft is considerably thinner then the original.

I had to put 5 rubbers on it to keep it off the playfield. It still don't work like the original.

Quoted from Markharris2000:

The newton balls are not all the same. Marco has the right one in stock from time to time, Pinball Life does as well. Look for partnumber #515-2037-00:

https://www.pinballlife.com/stern-jurassic-park-truck-spinner-newton-ball.html

Yeah , that is the one I ordered. it was thin. I even called them to see if I got the wrong one.

Quoted from KneeKickLou:

I’m back in the Dino capturing business. I also had to put 5 rings on to keep this new newton ball tight. Luckily I had a couple spare reds to do a pattern. [quoted image]

Yeah, you'll def. find that this one is not so "kinetic" as the original !

Quoted from jrcmlc:

So I've got 35 games on my new JPP and I have only made the cross shot to the "hut" or "guard tower" once the rest just rattle around and it seems like something might be misadjusted. Is that a known thing?

It looks like your habitrail legs are below the top of the ramp. They need to be on top.

See how your two legs of the habitrail are below the upper part of the loop. They should be on top of the ramp. Take your wire form off and reinstall.

Quoted from rapidflipper:

Sharing an update for any owners with playfield issues. I complained to my distro/Stern about chipping around lane guides on my Jurassic Park Pro, and was offer an unpopulated replacement. This occurred in Feb 2021, and the new playfield arrived last week; 2 years and ~3 months later! I followed up with them every 3-4 months, otherwise I’m uncertain if they ever would have even sent it. Moral of the story, Stern did make it right but MAN did they take their sweet time!

Quoted from Markharris2000:

Consider getting the Cliffy Carbon Fiber disc that he makes just for that specific post. It is self adhesive and may very well cover the entire blemish/chipped area.

Was responding about a new unpopulated playfied i finally received after about two years. Dont think Ill need them with the new playfield. Will I?

Quoted from rapidflipper:The worst damage on mine was under the right ramp.

I have chips on the other side, behind the supply drop.

Quoted from Rat:

My Premium is May 21 build with Blue Node boards. I am running Movie code 1.03 and want to know if I can put the new 1.10 code on an SD card to try it out and then swap back to my Movie 1.03
Can you test it out?
Another poster said he had couldn't use 1.03 after updating to 1.10 but then tried Movie 1.05 and that worked.
I want to know if I should download Movie 1.05 before I test the new 1.10
I don't have Insider Connected hardware in my game.

I have a September 2019 build and installed the 1.10 update. Blue nodes. 1.03 movie code didnt work after. How can I get the 1.05 Movie code?
