Hi guys,
My JP Pro's upper flipper makes a bit of a sharp noise when coming down.
It plays perfect, but I heard I when playing.
Any ideas what this "issue" can be?

Quoted from Manny65:If this is a new machine, it might be worth checking the coil stop on the flipper mech.
Otherwise pull the glass off and test/inspect. Try manually moving the flipper bat by hand and see if you feel it catching on anything. Also raise the PF (take the balls out first), reach around the front of the PF and move the flipper bat by hand but this time watch the flipper mech to see if you spot anything. If nothing mechanical is obvious, with the that PF raised power the machine on and test the flipper to see if you can recreate the issue. Let us know how you get on
Just found out what it was.
Under the playfield, in the flipper assembly, a little piece of paper was responsible for it. Got it out and problem solved.
Thanks for the help guys.
Hi guys, is there a possibility to make the helicopter spinner (on the Prem/LE) spin faster?
Mine spins, but not as fast as it should be doing.
Thanks for the help.
Quoted from Flynnyfalcon:So I’ve pulled apart the helicopter assembly to get to the post to correct the SDTM issue from bricked helicopter shots, problem now is that the helicopter will not rest in the correct horizontal position. It’s a pretty basic assembly, and I’ve put it back exactly as it was and how the manual states, any reason why it won’t sit right. I’ve tried loosening and tightening the helicopter screw which no change.[quoted image]
I have the exact same issue with the helicopter blades. Any idea how I can solve this? Thanks in advance.
Quoted from Markharris2000:I would start with taking it apart and cleaning each surface: the shaft, the bushing, and the bearing. Start with cleaning these first which removes everything. From the factory, there is no lubricant of any kind. It's just a clean smooth mechanism that naturally has little friction. When you assemble it, make sure the alignment is correct, and try to determine where friction is coming from. Grime can accummulate in the bushing or bearing, the heli blades themselves may have been damaged by accident or by adding a mod or weight, and the nylon bushing can be deformed for various reasons.
Refer to Page 50 in the manual, and in specific look at the bushing part #5 to make its clean and smooth and straight, and also look at part#6 which is the thrust bearing. I would guess that part#6 is the culprit (283-5019-00 $15 from PBL). That thrust bearing can accummulate grime and the plastic of the bearing itself can wear, and pretty easily and directly changes the behavior of the spinning blades. My suggestion: If deep cleaning doesn't fix it immediately, simply replace both plastic 'wear' pieces ... 545-5019-00 ($15) and 545-5070-00 ($2)
Thanks for the help Mark, much appreciated.
Cleaned it all and it works much better now.
While replacing the rubbers on the JP I accidentally broke the post of the upper rubber of the pop bumpers entry. Does someone know which part number this is? So I can order a few new ones.
The second photo is one of the same post under it.
