I’m probably gonna order a pro in the next week, and thinking this topper looks better then most I’ve seen out there.

Not sure how to link videos to this site (computer challenged) but the link takes you to a video.

Quoted from BeeGeeMtl:

Got my PRO last week, having a blast so far, even if it's tough as heck! (but that's okay, that's what's fun about pinball, improving, etc...)
Two tech issues I keep having is 1) a "phantom" left sling that keeps going off on its own, sigh. So even when a ball doesn't hit, it's going off! Anyone know what might cause this/or how to fix?
The other is 2) the short plunge itself. Only 50-60% of my plunges actually go all the way around the loop and into the inlane. The other 40-50% basically can't get all the way around and just "fall" down to the left flipper. When I plunge with the "action button", it actually works fine like 95% of the time, but when we plunge on our own via the plunger, it's 50/50. Anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve?
PS: A big thank you to mensch Keith Elwin, not only for designing such a cool game, but for friggin' showing up in this very thread, over and over, to answer our questions and concerns. I mean WOW! That's something that is greatly appreciated by all, so a big THANK YOU to Keith and Stern, if they actually believed in the idea as well.

The rubber may just be to tight, if it machine gunning. You can try just stretching the rubber a little.

With and without Pinstadium lighting. 1 set is in a dark room, the other set is with overhead light on above machine.[quoted image][quoted image]

Thanks for posting the great comparison pictures!

Quoted from KingHebes:

It is taking a really long time to download these files from sterns website. Maybe they have an issue on their end.

When I tried downloading with Explorer it took a long time and ultimately didn’t work when trying to load in the machine.
I think Mozilla work perfect and was fast download

Quoted from Breger1:

Green trough and backboard lighting a must.[quoted image][quoted image]

Thanks for showing the green lighting options.
I think everyone on here knows that colored led lighting doesn’t photograph well, I’m guessing that the game looks even better in person.

I do get pretty bummed sometimes by the people who can’t just enjoy seeing someone’s game done differently then they’d do a game they own.
If you don’t like someone’s mod then that’s fine, but picking on them for trying something different, and being good enough to show it here, is just a downer.

I use to build classic cars, at every show you get some ding-dong who would walk up and say “you should have, blah, blah , blah, something different” rather then admiring the cool car you built.
If they don’t like it fine, but find the things you do like, say something nice, or keep your mouth shut.

Enough crap in this world without bringing folks down for trying something they dreamed up, especially when it’s in a kickass fun hobby like pinball, just enjoy the game and be nice.

Sorry for the rant.

I just posted a DIY T-Rex replacement mod and a DIY helicopters mod in the “Jurassic park mod” thread.
If anyone wants an option to the less then awesome original pro T-Rex then you can check it out.
Cost all done was about $15

Thanks, this gives me the best visual for what that endeavor would look like. I will be holding onto my pins because I'm building a quality home arcade blending the pins into it. I am not a horder, but I definitely hold onto things haha.
Was there one central place you did all your mod business with?

I haven’t used him, but I’ve seen his mod-work and they always look amazing.

Might be worth getting a premium and giving it a dress up job.

Hi!
Any JP2 with mirrorblades? Pics?!
BR

Here’s a couple of mine, I would have done the art blades personally, but my pro had the mirrors installed when I got it.

If someone is looking for one of the stern lit shooter rod, Amazon has 1 in stock.

The “mosquito” (crane fly) looks awesome in the shooter rod I just built.

I ordered the cane topper from-
https://cosology.com/collections/jurassic-park-collection/products/jurassic-park-amber-cane-topper-john-hammond-egg-only?variant=28957324476450

Drilled it out and added a led light strip on the back of the shooter rod plate.

I need to touch up the drilled holes in the shooter plate as the light reflects off the raw metal and flares upwards, painting the hole flat black should fix this.

The placement of the bug in the resin is perfect though.

Quoted from Saddath:

I plan to add a LED lightstrip to the back too. You got to use a 5V LED strip right?
or can i use a 12V lightstrip and it will just shine less bright?

Yeah I just glued a 5 volt light strip in and wired into GI.

Quoted from ABE_FLIPS:

You lose the warm glow bacause the blue LED cancels out the color. Yellow/Orange is the way to go.
To me its just not worth it beside a little challange.

Yup I agree, all I had was a purple laying around so that’s what I threw in. I’ll change it out when I get an amber or orange strip.
