I think my best is around ~600,000k
Just killing time waiting on my premium!
Spent the past couple days in Krakow and saw this cheap tourist shirt teasing me as I wait on my JP2 and couldn't resist buying one
Quoted from JediMcMuffin:
2: Damn that CHAOS, I can only make it to O.
Been playing on location while waiting on my premium (probably have $50 in to it) and the O shot is killing me! That and I think my smart missile is broken...it’s batting .150 and about to be sent straight down to A ball...
Any premium buyers hear any updates about timelines?
Quoted from Rydhia:
I called Stern a few days ago and they said they go in production the second week of October.
Pretty quiet indeed if they are going on the line potentially on Monday. No reports of people being asked for remainder of payment. I know my distributor hasn't said a word or asked me for full payment yet...
Quoted from Scribbles:
Question, on reward #1, complete Chaos, if chaos is already lit... what's the point there? If chaos is already lit, and you successfully complete the smart missile shot, you're hitting the start chaos multiball target anyway, correct? Or am I misunderstanding something?
Quoted from Peanuts:
- Smart Missile - choice 1 - Complete Chaos OR Super Supply Drop (when Chaos is lit or started already)
Quoted from Scribbles:
Excellent point. Hadn't though of that. Since you're here, what am I misunderstanding about reward #1? Start chaos mb, and the smart missile target are the same target correct? One possible reward for hitting the smart missile is starting chaos mb, which would start anyway? I'm sure I'm just not getting some detail...lol
If chaos is already lit, you presumably get the chaos multiball AND you get the super supply drop as the smart missile reward
Surprised there's been no mention of the Museum Mayhem T-Rex mode in here. Just finished watching the Dead Flip rules overview with KME and that mode looks like it is going to be an absolute blast between the speed at which the raptors move and the "t-rex throw award" animations.
Question: does the t-rex throw award cause the t-rex to throw the ball if you have throw turned on (any why wouldn't you?!)? In both throw awards in the stream, the ball is dropped onto the left wireform. This would be a great mode to have every throw be a playfield throw - it would fit the animation so perfectly!
Quoted from EaglePin:
They made it to Museum Mayhem when they started playing?
Kind of, they used the debug menu to turn it on at game start. Watch the last 15 minutes or so of the stream to see it.
Also looking forward to the 4th part of the super skill shot...O loop? Helipad? Spitter spinner? Helipad makes the most sense to me for the flow - other ideas?
Where should the ball be delivered when rolling out from the control room/"C" area? I watched a clip of last week's Dead Flip stream with Keith and on theirs, it rolls down to the left flipper, about 2/3 of the way down and you can bump to send it to the right flipper.
Mine was hitting the flare at the end of the metal guide and getting bumped out and going SDTM just about every time so i bent it back but that original flare/bend looked very intentional but it's obviously not supposed to just drop down the middle.
Curious where others have the ball delivered on both a shot that goes all the way back to the target and on a non-clean shot that only makes it halfway
Quoted from Scribbles:
On my machine On my machine the ball always rolls down to the Left side flipper. You can either catch it or let it dead bounce over to the right flipper
Thanks - I paid a little more attention and rolled the ball a few times with glass off and saw that the light escape target was actually tilted slightly in so the ball caught the target and bounced out just at the very end perfectly to the middle. I pushed the target over and it's perfect now.
Had mine since Wednesday and just got my first 700M+ score, only disappointing because first ball was 500M+, can’t wait to hit 1B!
Quoted from delt31:
There is - I have it turned on. Still no throw.
95% sure the only time the ball is thrown is on T-Rex Rampage mode.
It would be nice to have a setting in the adjumstments for "throw in all modes" on/off, and maybe a percent chance (so, throw available on all T-rex modes, 50% chance to throw vs. drop on habitrail)
Quoted from ssdobbins:
Code V0.91 - Anyone have MBs that stop mid-stream. Seems like when I'm in TREX and then hit CHAOS it plays till there's two/three balls left and then stops. Flippers dead. Balls drain. Bonus awarded. Next ball. Is this a bug?
Had this happen this morning. I'm pretty sure it was because of this sequence of events:
1. Raptop cage gate open
2. Start chaos MB
3. hit back target on raptop cage
------a. lock post came up then went down (twice actually)
------b. game thought ball was locked in raptor cage
4. chaos MB continued but raptor gate was raised but no ball locked
5. get to 2 balls left in chaos, and chaos MB ends
6. get down to 1 ball left and flippers and lights go dead - game thinks you are out of balls
Also, little subwoofer porn for the morning! I hooked up a 5 way input selector to the 3 pins and my home theater (shared with my pins) and now I have my SVS PB12-NSD for bass. That thing barely fits under JP and is just as wide I have to keep it at about 25% gain, though, or at volume 10 on JP you can feel the floors shake upstairs when the T-rex roars.
Quoted from TheRookie:
Correction I did find an issue, my raptor target and supply drop target are swapped. Is this an easy fix? By that I mean hitting one counts for the other and vise versa
I had the same issue, note the black ground wires are common so you can just desolder and swap the tan wires and save some time at least!
Quoted from MrMikeman:
I also chose to re-align all 3 flippers and the ball guides to make it buttery smooth.
I've been meaning to ask this for a week or so...where are the flippers supposed to be aligned? I believe they came from factory with the top of the bat aligned with the guide hole. At some point I was having major frustration being able to hit the C and S shots and worked with the flipper alignments and moved them so the bats are centered on the guide holes and parallel with the inlane...It took about 1 minute to realize that was not correct and it was too high (glass off couldn't hit C or S from the tip of the flipper. Based on that, I tried to re-align back to factory but it got me thinking that I don't know where they are *supposed* to be lined up and I couldn't find anything in the user manual.
SO, relative to the guide holes (or for upper, guide hole/post) are each of the flippers meant to be aligned?
Also, based on the advice here, I moved the angle up to 7.0 degrees yesterday and, with only about 10 games to go on, it is already a big difference in making shots smoothly. I was already at about 6.7 at the flippers but this definitely feels better so far. If your ramps feel clunky, give this a try and see if it helps. Thanks to those who recommended this
Yours is definitely too far out into the lane. It should hit the rubber and go to the left flipper.
Quoted from EaglePin:
I noticed something similar. I might be wrong, but before one of the recent code updates I think every turn of the spinner would register the lane as being hit and clear the lit arrow. Then after an update it seemed like it changed and now a weak shot from the upper part of left flipper that goes past the spinner but maybe only spins it a couple times no longer counts as a shot to clear a lit arrow on that lane.
Quoted from Lounge:
This is my experience as well (premium).
Ditto - just after one of the recent code updates (premium as well)
Quoted from flipper73:
hi all, could it be that when i was successful in the smart missile the next smart missile is automatically lit in the left inlane? thought this was so when i played today. but i am not quite sure.
thank you for the answer!
I believe that since it is based on the number of rescues, if you choose +5 rescues for the award you will get a second smart missile, at least if you do it on the first time you get it.
Quoted from Flynnyfalcon:
With all this talk about tweaking posts/flippers etc, I’ve been having a problem for a while now shooting the right orbit, the ball used to exit cleanly to the upper flipper, now it clips the truck newton ball. The playfield angle hasn’t changed sitting around 6.5-7deg. Any ideas? Possibly the ball guide shifted?
Mine too. For the first few months I could right orbit x2 combo almost every time by holding the upper flipper as it came around. Now it hits the truck Newton ball more often than not. I’ve tried moving the guide a bit but have quite been able to get it back dialed in the way it started. Would love to hear some ideas but I’m not sure it can be anything but the guide and pitch, right?
Heart still thumping after I just beat my previous high a few minutes ago while “taking a break from work” - so close to 1B! (this was my first time over 700M after 6 months)
Wild T-Rex multiball, first time I’ve ever hit every jackpot in order and then also hit the mega jackpot (was off a ~2.25M base jackpot)
Quoted from Manny65:
"While taking a break form work" - love it!!! So how long was this break??
Btw congrats on the great score. Gotta crack the 1B now! (I'm a long, long way from doing this)
Surprisingly it was only about a 15-20 minute game. The score came quickly thanks to the T-Rex MB (291M), Raptor MB (~150M), and Chaos MB (?) being big scorers. I actually only made it to the t-rex paddock and sadly that's where my adventure ended. I still have never made it to any of the mini or actual wizard modes yet which is just another reason that this game is going to have serious staying power!
Quoted from Oneangrymo:
Thanks for the advice,
You know what, I will ask Chas to maybe take this one and dremmel like the other pinsider had done (nice write up), or I may ask him for replacement with more open areas on that side so I can adjust it, Im sure Stern will do it since this is an obvious defect
I had this exact problem in mine and talked to Chas about it at the time (Sept/Oct 2019 when my Premium showed up). The accepted solution was to break a toothpick a couple of times in the old hole and then screw the assembly back in and just that little bit offset was all it took and it's been perfect since. I think that or the solution from atrainn with wood filler would be your best bet
I don’t think that’s true either but correct me if I’m wrong. I believe the award is “complete CHAOS”, and it is the same as hitting the S ramp as the last CHAOS letter, qualifying Chaos mb but not starting it until you hit the target again
Quoted from J-Freeze:
Okay so tried something else too.
On the FIRST spelling of Chaos if you have not yet completed the C, the smart missle just completes all the letters, lighting but not starting Chaos MB. If you have at least completed the C it will start the multiball.
I guess we were both correct but talking about different things
Anyhow, It basically awards one full set of 5 letters either way.
Interesting - thanks for the testing and update!

church, meet fart...didn't really read the room on this one, eh?
Quoted from WizardsCastle:
One other thing I've noticed us that my post passes seem weak...Anyone else experience this and know how to fix?
I can consistently and easily pass from left flipper to right. My right to left doesn't have enough juice (or just doesn't bounce "right") to bounce up the left flipper so I can trap it - R to L lands about 2/3 of the way down the L flipper so my only option is to let it bounce once then shoot for the A, O, or S shots. I'm not sure what I could tweak to make this more reliable (without changing the alignment which I think is dialed in)
Quoted from paul_8788:
Yes, 7.0 degrees would be outside of the middle tick marks. And never go by the bubble. It is a rough estimate at best. Get a digital level or a phone app and measure pitch on the playfield.

Quoted from KC_Green:
Did you ever get this resolved?? My ball is going SDTM on the regular when we hit the Control Room. Is it just a balance issue? Or something I need to adjust in the playfield? It is very frustrating. I am constantly avoiding the Control Room unless the trap is lit. It is a lost ball SDTM 50%+ of the time requiring excess nudging.
I did - I ended up just bending back the guide a bit so that it doesn't flare out and send the ball SDTM. It hits far enough out on the left flipper that I can't trap, but depending on speed can often let it bounce over to the right flipper for a catch
Quoted from JonCBrand:
So is everyones Upper Right fliper staged like picture above?
When ball returns out of O lane across upper flipper it bounces of post down to left flipper or sling.
Just want to make sure this is how game was supposed to return out of the O lane
This is as designed to prevent continuing straight on that path and going SDTM.
Quoted from Lounge:
On my premium, the ball was hitting this screw (pic) and caused a lot of rattled shots.
I took painters tape and masked off the left screw of the entrance ramp. Then I took a Dremel with a stone bit and ground the screw head down so that the ball no longer made contact with the screw head.
8 months later I got so tired of the raptor shot clunking out that I took a Dremel to this screw also and it made a huge difference. Thank you to everyone who recommended this solution - add me to the list of people that this worked for!
