Sorry if this has already been posted, has anyone created some Jurassic Free Play cards?
I believe the instruction card already comes in colour.
Thanks!

@22troy: I’m having the same issue on occasion with the ball auto launching and not shooting through the inverted ramp- hitting the side of the ramp and coming down to the flippers.
Any suggestions from other owners?

#1948 4 years ago

@22troy: I’m having a similar issue and tried a number of different remedies. Including adjusting the coil strength and trying to straighten the auto launch fork prongs so the ball would rest evenly.

Unfortunately, neither of the above resulted in a high percentage of complete shots around the horseshoe with the auto plunger. However, my manual plunger is virtually perfect.
Was your manual plunger working properly before you raised up the left side of that metal shooter lane piece?

I’m still not convinced my auto launch is perfectly aligned or I may have possibly bent one of the forks too much.
Regardless, I may eventually also try your fix if adjusting the fork prongs doesn’t work.

Thanks for posting.

That’s a good idea to take a slow motion video of the issue.

I’m going to do this as well to see if the ball is veering off to one direction.
Since my manual plunger seems fine, not sure if my issue is quite the same.

Regardless, thanks again for posting and I’m looking forward to seeing if this could help.

Have any owners installed new green or orange replacement rubbers on your JP? (ie: Titans).
Would be interested in seeing a pic as thinking of installing a set.
Thanks!

@peanuts: Did you install a set of orange pf rubbers?
Clear is a good option as well but leaning towards a the green or orange to complement the pf art.

@Aquapin, thanks for posting- I think either orange or green will both look good.

I recently also set my outlanes posts all the way down to hopefully make the game a bit less punishing.
However, now I’m thinking of returning them back to factory as it made little to no difference with balls draining out both sides at virtually the same rate.

I don’t find nudging particularity successful when I try to avoid those side drains. Ball just simply ricochets off the slings or posts so darn quickly.
As one of my close pinball friends says, I just need to play better and practice more.

Regardless, it’s a sensational game. Can’t stop hitting that start button.

I had the same issue with issues on both the manual and auto plunger working properly.
A few months ago, I placed 2 thin washers under the left side of the fork.
I also centered the plunger rod.
After which, my manual plunges (with green spring) are now 100% and my auto plunges are at about 95% success rate.
I think adjusting the auto plunger power is a bit of trial and error; mine is currently at 190 and that seems to work best on my example.

@Dantesmark: I’ve attached a pic below. It’s difficult to tell as I’ve used 2 very small washers under the left fork which are hidden by the fork.
It raises up the left side just enough without causing a lip to mostly remedy the issue (without damaging the balls).

You could try a stronger spring.
My example came with a green one which worked fine (once I installed a couple of washers under the left fork).
I believe others have had more success with changing to an orange spring.
Player 1 should likely have these in stock if you don’t have any on hand.
