Recently, the ball gets stuck in the raptor pen when the gates open. The lip of the gate is just a tiny bit high/uneven. The game needs a good shake to get the ball free for multi-ball.
Anyone else have this problem? Any easy way to adjust the gate?
Thank you!
Please let me know if you have a set of LE decals you would trade or sell (or even just the two for the backbox).
Thank you.
This has got to be the hardest modern stern game. 5 major shots, four of them really hard.
Today I accept Ill never visit the visitor's center. Actually I probably wouldn't have any way.....
Wow. Stern really gives negative effs about its LE buyers. Literally cares nothing for customer goodwill.
Quoted from jandrea95:If this is the case props to Stern. A 30th anniversary edition @ MSRP of other current LEs is a good thing imo.
Stern is becoming an expert on deceptive marketing.
I wonder if any of them have read Illinois' consumer trade practices statute.
Quoted from jandrea95:Who knows, I just like to see the trex eat the ball.
How is the marketing deceptive?
I suppose it depends on how you define "exclusive" and "limited"
Quoted from EaglePin:In the last couple years it's been Elvira and now this one. And their definition of Limited or exclusive has become very squishy.
I truly don't care about how many units of something are being made. But if I really like and want a certain feature, say the art package or the mirrored back glass, and their marketing is saying that THIS model of the game is what you have to buy if you want that specific feature, then that's influencing my purchasing decision.
But it seems like they're starting down a path now of giving people an option to get those same or very similar features on other versions of the games.
Same on Bond 60th. They marketed an exclusive topper and shooter rod and then offered them for sale on the cornerstone Bonds. They're trying to say that the Bond 60th topper is autographed and that's what makes it exclusive but that's BS. The autograph on the topper is exclusive, but the topper itself is not exclusive, and they marketed the topper as being exclusive.
It all comes down to whether or not you can trust their advertising when they're indicating that if you want a particular feature then you need to buy a certain model, or if that feature is eventually going to be available on another game or model also.
It seems to me that Stern is starting to play too fast and loose with their marketing of items/features that influence a which model someone might want to purchase. Trust is being broken. It's their business to do it how they want, but I think it'll start impacting people's buying decisions pretty quick.
No one seems to care enough about plainly false advertising to do much about it. I've thought about writing a letter that they would surely ignore.
I've been trying to trade in my "old" green LE for the "new" red one. Its proving to be a lot harder than i thought.
I know, shocking.......
Should it be accomplished, I look forward to the challenge of trading in the red one for the next round of 500 limited editions in another color.
Stern could have made 199 new JP LEs, called it an SLE, charged 20k, and still maintained the value of the green LEs.
Instead they just ran 500 more.
I can't wait until the day when a game only powers up with a stern connect monthly-fee membership. And a premium membership if you want code updates.
