Thanks you for the bundle buddy It seems to me Elwin’s games have the best to mods .They bring the very best out of the makers .Cheers !
Planted eight palm trees on the LE today. Played 5 or 6 games with Insider Connected and best I could muster was 527M. Such an awesome game, but she is brutal. Need to find one of those matchbox helicopters next. Almost done pimping this beauty out.

The tops are stapled closed and strapped.

I know that. It looks like it’s been re-stapled. That’s why I want pics. Thanks

Thanks, I’ll look into upgrading the Jeep! Maybe some colored Titan rubbers as well. Such a fun game to mod! The ball dancing left/right in the slings and into the outlines gets frustrating, I think I need to adjust the sling coil power settings. I can often save it by nudging, but sometimes the slings just rocket the ball out either side. The Chaos and Helicopter shots are also rattly with a ton of rejects. Need to figure out what to do to make those shots smoother. Other than that, the game plays fast and furious and everything works perfectly.

Same feeling I get with the slingshots on my Mando Pro; they play a tennis match at times with a wrong call (drain) on mostly left outlane. I did turn down the sling power about 20% lower, which helps, but i think the biggest ‘kicker’ is the silicon rubbers on those that really just need gum rubber for the lowest bounce. My other Sterns aren’t nearly as ‘stern’ in this regard. I guess ymmv

I did but I was a bit naive to do so in hindsight. Because it was a Godzilla! And they were so hard to find back in February!
But it's been surprisingly solid. Unlike my JP Premium purchased a few months later that is a total lemon that I've spent countless hours trying to diagnose. At least the problem is constant now and not intermittent. So that's....... progress?
Do you think Pinside would approve this photo for the game gallery?

Lights are out on the game which means the coin door is open. Node boards are also not powered and cannot be “located” when the door is open.

Have you checked your coin door switch ?
Quoted from Kkoss24:Have you checked your coin door switch ?
I haven't bypassed or opened the switch but it's wired correctly and 'feels' like the ones in my other games. I've tried pulling the button to the out position and booting with the coin door open but that doesn't help.
But I don't think it's the lockout switch. Because yes the playfield is dark...But the translite which goes dark when the coin door is open...is lit. I don't see how a bad switch would allow it to pick and choose like that.
I ordered one from pinball life just for yucks..But I'm not going to swap with my other working games.
Plus...look at this photo from this morning. It's in attract mode as you can see on the LCD. A single insert is lit. ONE insert. And buttons on cabinet are dark.

I had a similar issue (but not as bad?) on my GotG pro. It behaved like yours. It was the interlock switch, but instead of replacing I got used to slamming (lightly) the coin door shut. Please try that and see if it lights up at that point.

Can one add a jumper cable to the two wires prongs on the lockout switch to bypass it for trouble shooting? I certainly don't mind doing that but Stern didn't suggest it so I'm don't think that's the right path.
Latest odd behavior is that it will eventually drop the 1 8 9 Node board error code and go into attract mode with ONE insert lit. I just don't see how this behavior would be caused by a lock out switch.

Yeah that’s a weird one .What has Stern had you try ?Did you happen to have the clicking upon boot up on that pin ?Just curious.
Lately I've been reading that some have had some resetting issues with the latest 1.11 code. I downloaded the 1.11 code & haven't had no issues whatsoever. We always use a 16GB Fat 32 USB. Before downloading be sure to delete any other code or information on the USB. Then download the code. I've been doing this manually for several years on many machines & manufacturers w/ the same stick > (Stern, JJP & American) The machines always play flawlessly, including the Jurassic 1.11 code.
Hope this helps >
Quoted from Kkoss24:Yeah that’s a weird one .What has Stern had you try ?Did you happen to have the clicking upon boot up on that pin ?Just curious.
Yes it clicked at boot and has had a PDB replaced already (Not by Stern who refused but paid for by my dealer).
The strange thing is Stern has basically only suggested removing CN15 from both playfield node boards and swapping the CPU with one of my other machines (which I won't do) .They continue to suspect the GI lightning. Now in their defense I HAVE found conductive debris next to a socket and the situation has gotten a lot worse since we last spoke. But I'll admit to the level of guidance coming from the manufacturer is a bit disappointing.
The laundry list of steps I've taken is getting a bit exhausting but Ive:
Disconnected all unnecessary devices like the Speakers, Speaker lights, Lit shooter rod, shaker motor, gate motor, T Rex assembly, CN15 on both nodes.
I reseated all CPU and PDB connectors. All look good from a visual perspective.
Power supply is providing 48.03 volts per my meter.
I got my own cat5 cable. Tried all connectors on CPU board to each node independently other than node 1 since my cable isn't long enough.

Slightly off topic but do you not have any issues with the pins that close together? Besides not seeing the cabinet art, do they ever bump into each other while you play and therefore possibly scratch off the decals? I don't nudge myself so if you don't have any issues playing them I'm thinking I may just have space for another pin...

We're not big violent nudgers and my tilt bobs are installed. Since these aren't being operated for profit I probably wouldn't have anybody over that insisted upon violently shoving the machine around. I understand that they are designed to be moved around a bit but I wouldn't go over to someone's house and start slapping their kids around or kick their dog...

reseat every single connector in the backbox, and whatever you can in the cab..even reseat the RJ45's in the backbox..BUT FIRST, RESEAT THE SD CARD (all of this while off), and make sure the card 'bounces back' against the stopper in its' holder..THAT was my problem with my TMNT..try THAT FIRST, then reseat everything..

To echo this, I’ve had phantom issues where the pin of an individual wire wasn’t fully seated inside a connector causing intermittent issues because it was only sometimes making contact, so I’d work my way through every connector and push on the wires to make sure they are all seated properly. Huge pain and I’m sorry you are dealing with tracking this down.

Thanks man. I've definitely tried all that. Even imaged a new SD card.

Does anyone have a drained ball sometimes get stuck in the drain and not sense the ball has drained? It seems they are supposed to naturally slide to the right, and sometimes a ball gets stuck on the far left and not roll down. A little nudge gets it moving, still annoying though, especially if you had a ball save going.[quoted image][quoted image]
Jaws is the project code name Stern used for Jurassic Park
I bought a “ JURASSIC PARK BEHIND THE RAPTOR PLASTIC.” for my game last week. I figured I'd wait until I did get a ball stuck behind the raptor before I added the piece. I guess it's time,I got two stuck their during Chaos multiball tonight.
Of course it happened when I was on my way to beating my highest score.

No Stern logo, nor the Anniversary JP logo (I prefer the original), nor any credits/disclaimers text for that matter. I generally like my backglass/translite art to be cleaned of branding which has been the case on all of my games.
I also remove dealer badging, plate surrounds, etc. from all my vehicles. Not sure what it is about me, but I find such things to takeaway from the overall appearance.

Life, uhm, certainly finds a way for the velociraptor to lay large spherical silver eggs.
Got my JP30 a couple weeks ago and there's an issue with the upper-left LEDs and upper left+right GI (from Node 9a) where the whole bank of lights will briefly drop out. It’s particularly noticeable at times when the entire bank of lights is meant to light up at the same time or in rapid sequence, such as after ball drain when tallying up the score, or starting a new ball, or when a T-Rex event is starting/pending. I didn't really notice it at first because I was new to JP in general, and thought the lights dropping out were part of the lightshow. (Dinos busting through fences and causing chaos, y'know!) Eventually I realized maybe something wasn't quite right and went into the TEST ALL LEDS mode -- it's super-obvious there, because the Node 9a LEDs will all flicker out of sequence with the rest, and the upper GI flakes on/off at the same time.
Been emailing back and forth with my distributor, hoping to save him a service trip. He's recommended several things, and so here's what I've tried:
- Inspecting all the standalone GI and LED sockets/boards/solder joints to look for loose solder blobs or bent lugs causing a short. I've found none so far, though this isn't my area of expertise [yet] so I may not know exactly what I'm looking for.
- Disconnecting all the LED connections downstream of Node 9a in-sequence, stopping and restarting the LED test between each (by way of killing the 48v switch behind the coin door).
- Disconnecting all the other connections on Node 9 (not 9a) in-sequence, restarting the LED test between each.
- Disconnecting the T-Rex motor board, stepper motor board, Raptor motor, plus their 48v power connections, and restarting the LED test between each.
In all cases the 9a LEDs and upper GI will start to fail during the TEST ALL LEDS test eventually. Usually within a few seconds, sometimes after a minute or two.
The lightshow usually works properly for a few minutes after a cold startup of the system, during the first couple balls/games (I'm not very good, so this doesn't take long) but will start failing soon enough.
Now that I know what the lightshow is supposed to look like (went and played a Premium on-location) the issues in mine are super distracting while playing, and kinda killing my joy. My distributor will come out to check on the machine himself eventually, but in the meantime... any other suggestions from the folks here?

One of the symptoms with my troublesome JP Premium involves what I'd describe as sluggish lightshows during attract mode..Still working with Stern to get it resolved. But my current issue involves dead node boards etc so definitely not what you're describing alone.
