Quoted from libtech:

Looks sweet! How many post rubbers did you need? Want to order some green ones
Drfinately use the stock corner protectors, those kind will wrinkle your decals

I ordered a dozen post sleeves, and had a few leftover. Always good to have spares anyway

Jack Danger plays Jurassic Park using a beer can controller.

#1254 4 years ago

Hopefully an updated code comes out soon.

#1255 4 years ago

Had a party last night for some local pinheads, everyone loves JP2. I’m going to try to hook up a subwoofer today, T-Rex modes need it!

I imagine that Stern will release one for the launch parties begining next week...

Shaker if you don’t have one yet!

The subwoofer addition is KILLER on this machine along with the shaker. If you look at the picture of my machine a few posts back, you'll see a 12" Polk audio nestled down below it

#1259 4 years ago

I wish I had $5 for every time I drained my last ball with both CHAOS and Extra Ball lit. It’s definitely one of those things that keeps me hitting the start button over and over.

Done! I wish the lighting was better. It looks amazing in person.[quoted image]

Oh, my gosh, bruh'! You all greened out! Right down to the flipper rubber! Awesome-sauce'um!

How did you hook the subwoofer up? Is there a pre out like in home theater receivers?

#1262 4 years ago

I was looking for the extra ball. Where is it located?

Quoted from Da-Shaker:

right ramp. light is above the ramp.

#1264 4 years ago

Why is this game more fun than my Wonka.
Lol

Don't get me wrong they both rock but this Jurassic is addictive as hell.

#1265 4 years ago

The LEDs in the ramp signs are a little too subtle. Would be nice if they were 50% brighter.

No pre amp outputs unfortunately. There are 2 ways to hook up. 1: if your sub has high level inputs, you can just put some alligator clips on the large speaker in the cabinet and run some speaker wire to your sub. I did this for a while on GoTG and it works ok. The best way I'm aware of is to buy a little kit from Pinnovators for $35 that plugs into your sound board and gives you actual RCA outputs to run to your sub. That's what I'm running now. I got cleaner better bass using their board vs. The cheap high level input method.

Awesome tip thanks just ordered one.

Can I officially ask for a picture of someone's raptor area one way gate PLEASE. Got my replacement but it's still not working well.

I was excited to get to the Visitor's Center tonight...until I remembered nothing happens

Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please....

Shorten and allow the player to skip the ball holds in a future code update. It is brutally annoying. 15 seconds every single game just give me the f-ing ball!!! I wanna take the glass off and do it myself. Also, speed up the jeep animation cut scene between balls, it's also way too long while I'm just sitting there staring at the LCD saying....can I play yet?

Other than that, loving the hell out of this game. Raptor cage and chaos, etc, need some balancing but I'm sure that will be worked out in future code updates. This is Elwin afterall.

Just fix that stupid ball save, c'mon guys. Someone at Stern sticking their fingers in the pie cuz I know Elwin isn't that dumb.

#1270 4 years ago

I love that you can stop the game at any time by holding the left flipper and start button for 3 seconds. Genius/overdue.

As in pause my ball so I can go to the fridge for another rum?

The home rom of TZ does this.. from decades ago..

I am surprised it has not been done yet-super annoying.

#1274 4 years ago

I don't know about them being skipped, but the time sure could be shortened.

Quoted from NoQuarters:

Just allowing the player to skip by pressing both flipper buttons is all I want-can't stand watching same animation over and over.

CoolCatPinball Thanks for the recommendation!

#1277 4 years ago

If you double flip during the long animation where they realize the park ha a virus it does allow you to skip when it gets to the point of the human and dinosaur walking around on the Playfield.

If you double flip for the end of ball stuff it dramatically shortens that too

Yup. Insane how stop-and-go the game is in its current code.

I know Keith was bagging on using scoops because they slow the game down but the up-posts are just as bad -if not worse in the current state.

T-rex mode animations are way too long right now with no ability to skip. The smart bomb countdown even seems too long. EVERYTHING should be skippable with double flippers.

Also I think the back target on our raptor paddock is a bit wonky. It doesn’t really seem to register hits whatsoever. I feel like it should be at some point. Anyone else seeing this??

Thanks a lot. I’m getting ready to attend Mass this morning and now this is stuck in my head. Hope I don’t yell out “ Amen Brother!”

I’m really happy with the music on this game. Lots of variety, and it really builds up the excitement. I even love the sound when the ball is waiting in the shooter lane.

Agreed. Our family also enjoys the comments if you wait to long to plunge the ball. So far we've heard 3 or 4 different ones

I think the main gripe about scoops is that hitting an unlit scoop is worthless and it’s a wasted shot.

Would you rather have a shot or a scoop that’s only usable for half the game?

Got my pro on Friday! I've been pretty sick, but finally felt good enough to unbox it last night. Noticed no pooling out of box, after about 10 plays i can see pooling on lots of posts. Will get some pics tonight.

Btw is that decal that came with the owners manual just for personal use? Or does it have a place on the machine somewhere?

#1293 4 years ago

So my code update keeps failing. Ive copied the two files from the unzipped folder into a usb drive. There are 4 options. Quick/verify yes/no and full/verify yes/so. I tried full verify/yes and unoacking failed. Tried the first Option quick verify/no. Unpacking failed. Tried the other usb port on the machine. Failed. Tried the other spk file on the stick which only has 2 options full verify yes/no. Got invalid spk error. The manual nor the readme give any info on these different options. Maybe ill try a different usb stick. Any tips?

#1294 4 years ago

I’d try re-downloading the update.

#1295 4 years ago

It is taking a really long time to download these files from sterns website. Maybe they have an issue on their end.
