I just now came across this thread and wanted to also mention how great the work has been! Amazing!
Just out of curiosity, but when the modifications are complete will the new EPROM chips be available for purchase?

Quoted from ChadH:I've been delaying answering this question because part of it is out of my control.
Here are my thoughts. First, I need to fully finish all code updates for JP. This will take a while longer. Hoping to finish up in a month or two. Then I need to get Stern to support this update just like they did with Data East Star Wars. I really hope they see this as something they would like to support. I believe that these code updates actually increase the value of Stern's back catalog and are a huge showing of good will to the community so this is a win/win situation. After that, I hope it would be just like the release of the Star Wars update.
The increased value of a back catalog becomes more and more important in today's age with older games being virtualized on various video platforms (example, Pinball Arcade on Xbox, Playstation, Android, iPhone, PC, etc).
In the meantime, I need everyone's support. What can you do? Please read my post from three weeks ago in the Star Wars Update thread that starts with "This is a call to all of you out there that liked this Star Wars update.":

Please help me out by showing Stern your appreciation. Please avoid any Facebook spamming. This needs to remain positive. Kind emails, phone calls, or face-to-face conversations (especially at pinball shows) are probably the best approach.
Very nice! Thank you for all the work!
Excellent work! It was already exciting, yet it just keeps getting better! I am really looking forward to the update!
Quoted from FathomPin:In the mean time, I was very happy with results of replacing pop bumper spoons with Williams (thinner plastic at the handle). Bumpers are much more responsive than with the DE spoons; finally I can Save Timmy.
Forgive me, but may I ask which spoons?
Thank you!
