Many of you have followed my Back to the Future and Fire restorations and I thank you. I have had a lot going on in the last 6 months since I have finished Fire but I am ready to start my next full blown restoration. I have several machines to do but I have narrowed it down to Jurassic Park and Strange Science. I am not sure if I can have it done by TPF but I am going to try.

I like Strange Science because you don't see it often and the ones I have seen don't look that good. I also plan on adding custom cabinet graphics to replace that generic cabinet.

Jurassic Park is a lot more common but I have the new T-Rex, New Gate mod and the new topper so it will not be your run of the mill JP.

Just thought I would see what you guys thought.

Not even close....JP all day. I've owned 2

Kinda interesting. I thought maybe more people would like to see Strange Science because it's not as common. Thanks to all that have voted so far.

JP for sure

You've got all the JP mods and you still don't know what to go with?

The vote is a little lopsided. Lol

These games are polar opposites.
They have no similarities in terms of gameplay or design whatsoever.
There is more going on with JP ("Go, Go, Go" Dinosaur Stampede).
Strange Science has some nifty ramp shots, sounds, music and "Apollo 13" crazy MB, but the scoring is atrocious with present coding.
I prefer a good game of F-14 Tomcat over a Strange Science unless it is absolutely pristine.
The number of games in that condition left is less than 100.

I did a review on Strange Science, but I do not think I did a JP one yet.
Bottom line if you are more "modern pinball gamer", JP is the leaning for most.

Thanks for the input. They will both be restored to like new one of a kind machines. It's just a matter of what order to do them. Strange Science has always interested me because of the colors and I think it is a good looking machine with some cool features. Like you said, it is pretty rare in good shape. Obviously, not everyone shares my opinion.
On the other hand, I love JP and I have all the mods plus a few ideas for the game.

Well, I guess JP is going to be next. I will put a link in this thread when I get it started if anyone want to follow the restoration.

Thanks for the input.

Another late comer to the thread. Not played JP much but have a SS. SS is the best game ever (for someone who doesn't play pinball) for a regular player its too easy to master. With the neon topper and LED's it looks so good. I'd say mine's a 9/10 cond so maybe one of the last 100!

I have always liked SS. It looks neat and has some cool features. Glad you have a nice example of this game. Mine will get a full restore, it's just a matter of when.
