Quoted from winteriscoming:More like 10 times a minute!
I was going to say " every minute" but thought it would sound a bit too obsessive. I guess I'm not the only one!
How much time do you spend standing back, staring at and admiring your work?
I know I would!
Very nice.
Quoted from Aurich:there's still work out there
Mostly in Canada.
Keep up the good work....T-Rex is looking great.
Quoted from winteriscoming:Unless I find a good way of painting silicone, which is extremely stretchy and flexible, I don't think the paint will hold up.
Is there a way to color the silicone before pouring?
Or is there a way to put dye in the mold that will become permanent when the silicone cures against it?
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Agree dark gums look better than pink....dinos did not brush.
So that's why my gums are dark!
Quoted from winteriscoming:I do kind of have a future idea of making some broken electric fencing around the t-rex, though... we'll see.
Sounds like to need to take a break and recharge for a little while. (now the group will shoot me)
Quoted from Aurich:I'm not a lawyer or an accountant, this isn't legal advice,
Sounds like a lawyer....
Quoted from Aurich:Notice my use of the very technical "blah blah
Isn't that legaleze?
Quoted from winteriscoming:I reached out to a few people to join the initial pilot group and will be working with them over the coming weeks to make sure there aren't any issues that need to be addressed before selling more. I'd like to get their t-rexes out the door next week,
Great news. It must feel pretty good to see this coming to fruition.
There isn't much gum exposed. How does it look with of white gums?
I'm sure you'd like to sell a totally finished product, but you could release it, as is with one color gum/teeth combo and the end user can color the gums how they wish. When that color wears off, they can reapply it.
....Just thinking out loud....
also thinking out loud....

Tell me when to stop thinking!
Looks Great. All of your works shows. Good luck with the testing.
I'd be a vocal supporter, but you do not want to hear me sing!
Right now the main issues are:
1. The paint isn't holding up as well as I'd like, especially around the mouth where it makes contact with the pf. I'm already seeing wear and it hasn't been that long. I realize now that skipping out on primer is making it so that the paint isn't adhering as well as it should. I'm able to easily scratch it off with my fingernails. I'll need to experiment with some primer and see if that cuts down on this issue.
What about some sort of clear coat?
So, how were the originals finished? I'm sure the info is out there someplace as to the best way to paint these. There must be an industrial plastics or paint business somewhere that can help.
I'm a professional pilot, maybe one of the paint shops I deal with can give advice.
I'll let you know if I get any info.
Quoted from woody24:After this post, and as of right now, this topic is only two posts away from topping the Jurassic Park Club thread. That's pretty impressive.
In that case.......
