This mod will be released June 12th 2015, when Jurassic World is released.

That's not an unrealistic date to hit. Maybe Stern will buy it from me and put it in their Jurassic World pin!
Uh oh... I don't want to commit to this yet, but I think I've come up with a way that she can have arms!

I feel bad for T-Rex arms...
T-Rex Arms
I think the arms wouldn't look right with the current model, but I'd love to see you try. Poseidon Yang is a great modeler and here are some pics from his female t-rex as a reference...

Smaug is a little off topic. Let's please keep this thread about this project and comments/opinions about other games' toys elsewhere.
Thanks,

I guess I chose the wrong time to post updated progress. I'm getting burried under Expo threads!
No pics for today, but I've confirmed the latest additions are in-tact and hardened. I had a bit of a scare when I noticed movement in the underlying polymer clay shell on the back that I had originally superglued together. I guess the epoxy and dried super glue weren't getting along.
I'm not happy with the scales in some areas and will end up re-doing them, but that shouldn't take too long.
I might install it this weekend for a test to confirm it can work in this current state. I will have to hot glue the top of the head onto the frame or something for a temporary bond since it's not currently attached to the back/neck like it will be in the end.
I went ahead and joined the back and top of the head. Even though it will make the mold more complex, it will make for a stronger piece in the end.
I've still got some spots to fix up, but I'll hopefully be finished with this part of the sculpting soon. Then it's on to teeth and mold-making.
Super nice! Put the teeth in there, a dash of paint and you'll probably have 9,008 potential buyers (source: ipdb.org) .
Brilliant work! I'm extremely impressed. You must have fist pumped when you got a successful t-rex chomp!
Nice! !!
BTW sorry about a post long ago bitching about mod prices
I got mixed up with the trex Matt is making and his prices
This looks awesome . ..even as an albino LOL!
Test teeth...
These's aren't the final teeth (obviously not the final color, either), at least not in the top. These are from the same mold I made for much earlier tests. I think they look like good bottom teeth, but I'll have to sculpt some different ones for the top and figure out the best consistent way to secure them in place.
After having it sit in the game and studying it from the player's perspective I noticed some things that needed to be changed, so I worked on some improvements to the head. The front edge and the top of the crest have been altered and softened up a bit. I also lowered the top edges of the back of the head behind the brows.
Sweet!!! way better than the original! Normally I'm not into MODs on existing original pins but this happens to be a superior upgrade from the DE T-Rex, you hit it out of the park! Just crossing my fingers about pricing if and when available
FINE! I'll take one as a tester...I'll be the guinea pig
Just messing. Great work man! Looks fantastic!
First let me say that this is nothing short of awesome! Not to be Debbie Downer but does the new T-Rex pick the ball up (have enough clearance) when the metal guard is installed in front of it on the playfield? Just a thought if it hadn't been tested with the metal part there. Believe me, when this is done, I'm all in. Great work.
