I had a hell of a time when I shopped my JP many of the switches would meter ok but were flaky I guess , I changed the trough switches out with new and switch at the ball eject and followed the youtube advice on that switch and my problems went away....mine would do all kinds of wanky stuff, firing like your saying and then not register balls ...I was told data east didn't use very good switches to begin with and hell there old now...fairly cheap new buy a handful and shotgun it.

if your ordering parts again take a good look at the VUK parts and switch, that will be your next headache with flaky ball kickouts if its not 100% perfect.....just some advice on a JP....I hear you about ordering pin parts and shipping...always one thing a guy forgets, ugh.

hang in there, its a fun game when everything works and its waxed up good and new balls...I set mine up pretty steep to get it playing decent, stock height was waaaay to slow.. and you wont get bored with it right away it has plenty of action.

a sub with the Rex roars is pretty cool also.
