Just finish it up and put in the line up. Now time to play the s&*T out of it. Led's all from comet. Like the pop lights.

This game was really bad when I got it. I took the spring and bent it to make it straighter. It does not interfere with anything.

#244 5 years ago
Quoted from winteriscoming:

It'll interfere with the improved t-rex mod!

I guess I need to get a proto of it to test.
It looks great by the way. I guess I could just flip the spring.

The bracket for the playfield is a screw from the outlane with a nut on the underside like the photo. What happens is that the wood screw does not hold good. It had a #6 screw in it, I put a #8 screw to give it more bite. The one from mantis would be a better one if you had to replace.

The pop lights look great. What pop lights are you using??

Thanks. I got them from Comet.

Quoted from Johnc1983:

Hello fellow JPers, does anyone have any photos of their JP with LEDs? I currently have standard incandescent and am debating going down the LED route. I just don't want them to be too bright - keen for thoughts...

I got all mine from comet pinball. I went the natural white frosted.
This is with the pop light rings (love them) on.

This is with pop lights off.(sorry a little blurry)

Quoted from Slim64:

His right wire form is different than mine as well. Always wished I could add a rubber stop, so it doesn't shoot out the side and over the sling plastic.
And how in the world do you make the trex shot with that post. Seems like it'd be near impossible.
14441650423201318250506.jpg

I added a zip tie to stop that.

Quoted from meSz:

Anyone know the part number for the metal hardware piece (see pic) that is on the underside of the playfield? Also, if known, where to get it? Not finding it on the typical sites!!

I would send Terry a email to get some measurements on this to see if it will work.

Love the the new code. It gives the game new life. I loved the game when I got it. Im a sucker for "mass" multiball. I guess the next one I need is Apollo 13 (like the movie but don't know if I would like the pin but willing to try) chad thanks for the update. Donation coming soon. Thanks john for the rom service.

This is what a JP gear box should look like. Note the raised spot for motor to mount and the subway screw.
image_(resized).jpeg
Looks like what is in IL's machine. Or one very similar. This is a striker extreme

#1799 4 years ago

That would be way better than a broken "can not get" subway.
Looks like Steve has them. $110

Quoted from TimeWarp1:

I think I like this one most as I'm very close to ordering LEDs but can't make up my mind...I like how the white light lets the natural colors of the game pop vs forcing it with colored LEDs. Do you recall exactly what kind of comet frosted natural white LEDs you used? They have single LED, double LED, double comfort LED and I think even more options. Thanks!

This is what I used.

Quoted from Gondar:

Does anyone have/know where I can buy the sticker that sticks to the playfield under the T-Rex (the green one with leafs)? Or a good scan/photo so I can make my own? It seems to be missing on a lot of machines, including mine.

Let me check. I had one made for the vert. edge. I will check to see if my art guy would give up file. Don't know. He is covered up. I have yet to get InfiniteLives blades done.

Do the pop bumper rings. They are great. Got all mine from Comet.

Quoted from Chitownpinball:

I prefer the bright cap evos. Those ones with the wires are a pain in the ass to get right.
http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=3624

Don't think they were out when I did mine. What do they look like not installed?

Quoted from comment23:

How do you like the color LEDs? It seems that some like it, and some hate it. Thoughts? Do you have a bill of materials from the picture? Thanks!

I like the color. I change some of the white inserts to purple. I will have to hunt down list.

#2213 4 years ago

Nice. I was looking on my phone so I did not see other photos. Thanks.

What art work are y'all wanting on the blades? Sorry if I missed the post.

#3073 3 years ago

I will see what I can get done. This might take some time as I have to go to some one that knows how to draw this.

Quoted from rviguet:

I have the LED color DMD for my DESW and really like it, but there isn't one available for JP yet. Does anyone know the reason that Color DMD hasn't made a package for JP yet?

They have not colored the dots yet. You can get a led dmd from them for it. I have one on mine, got it for when they do get the dots colored.

#3260 3 years ago

Set of 6 trees. Cover shipping and they are yours.

DSC05488 (resized).JPG

#3263 3 years ago
Quoted from Spencer:

I would totally be all over this but I just ordered 12 trees from China for $5.99!

Shipping to Canada would be over 6 bucks. You got a good deal from China!

Pics? No one posts color dmd pics after they install....i wanna see!

Its been 3 months. Green was OK but went with the orange. LED = NICE!!

JPCDMD (resized).jpg

#3464 3 years ago

Playing the game you don't see much of the dmd, but well worth it, when you look up and it is color. It took me a few months before I got one JD, love them! They make the game "pop" and breathe new life into it. I will put one in every dmd I have at the house.

#3491 3 years ago

Great job!!! Now all we need is the code. Release it Please. I did ask nice.

#3502 3 years ago

Color DMD code is out!!!!!!
What a glorious day in Isla Nublar!!!!

#3517 3 years ago

Dumb question, enjoyvelvet how do you get the match scene on free play?

#3520 3 years ago

I have the 6.0 and buy in off. I just set it to on to see what happens.
**edit**
buy in on did not do it

#3523 3 years ago

Service credit did not do it. I had Match Percent (13) set to none. Change it to 10 and now the Match scene runs. Thanks for all help guys. Now off to fix JD. He keeps blowing F116 when he sits idle. Hell with that, he can wait, JP has new life. Play until I pass out.
Thanks again for the help.

Quoted from ypurchn:

that right flipper looks kinda wonky...

That has been fixed. Photo taken after I put back together, flipper was not tight.

#3809 2 years ago
Quoted from Chalkey:

Good gravy do you need to clamp down tight on those flipper bats. It felt like I was going to rip the mount from the bottom of the playfield before the flippers would stay put after doing a rebuild.

Had to crank down tight. It took about two times to get it set.

Quoted from ypurchn:

I've run into this issue before as well. How'd you end up fixing? I put a nut on the cap screw to get some more "umph"

Just played a few games, and tightened them back down. It fixed it self after about two times.

Anyone have the metal bracket that mounts in front of the topper that can send me pictures.and measurements?
Thanks

The bracket is 16" long. Lower tab is 5/8". Upper tab is 1 5/8". The bend is 120 degrees. I remade it out of polished stainless steel.

Remade on top and original on bottom.

Any interest in making them and selling? I'm sure I'm not the only guy missing this.
I don't have metal fab tools and no longer have access to a machine shop I can play in. My only choice is to take it to a local fab shop.

I might have one left. Ill check later tonight.
