What are the symptoms of failure? Most of the time it's the 'ready to launch' switch that's not working correctly, not a trough switch. It's located on the right side of the ejector that shoots the ball into the shooter lane, if that's misadjusted you will see issues like balls not being ejected properly and you have to wait for the ball search to kick in and shoot the 'missed' ball out into the playfield.

My guess is that would be your problem, not the trough issue.

That metal is pretty stout, wonder how it happened? Might have to replace it or try to bend it back, or maybe jb weld it flat as a temp fix?

#48 6 years ago

If you wanted to go that route, just bend that switch about halfway in to get it to contact, but also make sure the ball can roll over it when fully compressed. I assume the only issue you have is on a slow rolling last ball?

#50 6 years ago

Can you hear the switch make closure, normally you can hear a soft click when it does. If that's intermittent, then yes, you need a new switch. Sorry, I thought you had already confirmed that your switch is in working order, I assume sometimes...bad habit.

#52 6 years ago

I don't know, the balls are heavy, I doubt if it were making proper contact that it wouldn't be heavy enough to close it. I think it's a different problem....as I stated before.

Does your game give you missing ball errors?

#59 6 years ago

Have you gone into switch test diagnostic and checked it out?

#61 6 years ago

Well, then replacing the switch isn't gong to work is it, but if you've flattened the 'dent' and the switch still doesn't activate what can it be?

It has to be something, but yet your saying everything works, that's just not possible.

That's just part of Jurassic Park, glass smashing outrage from a left outlane drain!

Seriously though, doesn't that shit piss you off!

Quoted from aobrien5:

Ok, total DE noob question here... The rail system on this machine really sucks compared to Williams of the same era. Do you really have to completely lift the back end of the PF to put it back into the cabinet?

You can push down on the front of the playfield to lift the back up, but I wouldn't recommend it. I have long arms so it's not an issue for me to just lift it up.

My game came with a set of each.

I think those are slingshots for Jurassic Park: The Lost World machine.

Quoted from BOBCADE:

Yeah I guess that's what I meant is multi loop seems impossible. I wish that wasn't the case.

It clonks around the loop pretty good, it's not a smooth shape, something like HS2 for example, it's upper loop is very smooth, as is Whirlwind (which JP is highly modeled against). It is what it is, it's not an easy shot to make...and really, is it worth anything other than another chance at the paddock?
