Hey guys,
I'm working on a project JP, and I'm currently in the middle of reinstalling the playfield parts. I've got a question about the amber block with the mosquito inside. I pulled it out of the tub and noticed after a quick scrub with the dish brush that the front surface is horribly ghosted and faded looking. Can anybody tell me what material this is and how to polish it? Should I use a wheel or a flame? I also noticed that the front of it is dished in, it's not flat like I thought it was. Can somebody here confirm the shape for me? I hope I didn't ruin the piece.

Quoted from markp99:

The amber block on my JP is also "dished". There a little bit of sheen, but not terribly glossy.
As this is intended to be backlit, I'd guess you're probably fine.
Maybe a bit of Novus 2 and some elbow grease will get back some of the sheen.

Thanks, I'll try that first. Fingers crossed!

Hey guys, I figured out a good solution for my hazy amber block - I buffed it.

Quoted from markp99:

Nice improvement. What did you use?

My local hardware store had a 3-wheel buffing kit for use with a battery-operated drill. I did a little research on buffing and found a pretty informative article from a company called Caswell Plating.

I think I'd like to try buffing my wire form parts now, too.

Hey everyone,
I wasn't very happy with the PDF copy of the game manual I found on IPDB, so I scanned my copy with the correct legder size sheet for the technical drawings. if you don't have a good digital copy of the manual, you can download mine here:

EDIT: I forgot to erase some of my handwriting on some of the pages before scanning. I'll fix it and re-upload later.
EDIT: Should be ok now

Congrats! I really like the siderails on your machine. I think I might do the same to mine one day.

Hey guys, can one of you please confirm the upper flipper coil number for me? There was a different coil in place (installed backwards, too), so I checked the manual and it says it's supposed to use a 090-5030-00 coil. I installed it and now it's blowing fuses immediately.
