Looking for the clear plastic cover part (red circle). I can't find the part number in the manual.

Another question, does 6.0 rom work with ColorDMD?

#5076 5 years ago
Quoted from Meloyelo51:

Yes, it was tested with color DMD.
I can help if you can't burn your own roms.
Here is a video I did running 6.0.

Thanks!

I ordered it from you on Sunday and just received it . I also got the NVRAM.

Everything works fine! Super easy to replace NVRAM, 6.0 CPU ROM and Display ROM.

Guys, my JP has a wired problem. Sometimes the right flipper does not work.

It stops working for several seconds (top right flipper is fine) and then it works again.

Any idea how to check on it?

Thank you.

#5217 5 years ago

The right flipper is dead.

Here is the video.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/d9ot2gobivmxkya/IMG_5029.MOV?dl=0

While I press right flipper button, I can feel right flipper tried to flip. But it seems the power is not enough push the flipper. If I use my hand to assist (push) right flipper slightly, it will flip. I used multimeter to measure left and right coil, both have the same voltage while I press each flipper button.

Should I get a new coil or a new rebuild kit? Thank you

Guys. Fixed the right flipper. You guys are rock. It was the EOS problem. I tried to bend it a little bit and now works perfect.

Quoted from mbott1701:

I have some Titan silicon rubbers on my JP.
Blue on the lower flipper bats, orange on the upper flipper. Translucent sling shot rubbers, blue post rubber by the Raptor pit, orange posts by the gate.
I have found that I tend get air-balls from the springiness of the post rubbers at the raptor pit, so I'm going to be changing thos posts to Cliffys premium post sleeves to try and reduce that. I got the parts, just have to make time to install.

I got the full set Titan silicon rubbers from their database (the latest one) and replace all the rubbers. I agree with you. I got a lot of air-balls from the same posts ...

I spent couple weeks working on JP. Totally worth it. Kids and I all love it. Replace bad switches, resoldering bad wire connections, got full LED kit, new Titan rubber, new Topper, printed new instruction cards, Pinsound Plus with OST mix and speaker upgrades. It still has some problems such as bad EOS (will replace it or rebuild the flippers some day), some broken plastic (already ordered new set from CPR) and still thinking about repair the scoop damage with Quickwood then install Cliffy on it (maybe or maybe not). I think JP needs a PDI or invisiglass (You can see the difference between JP and WOZ).

Thanks to my friend fnosm went with me to check and haul the game back to my house. Also thanks to everyone in this thread helps me to figure out the issues.

Finally replaced that bad bad bad EOS. I tried to adjust it couple days ago but only made it worse. Because I thought the metal connector parts were not working so I bent the metal plate part the let it closed.

Anyone, it just took me 10 mins to replace to a new EOS.

Everything works perfect! and got my first System Failure Wizard mode.

I still have the issue with my right flipper. I replaced the EOS. It works for few days and it has the same problem as before. While I raise the playfield and short the EOS, the flipper works. After I adjusted the EOS, it works for few days again. Is it possible the problem is on the flipper board? Thanks.

Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

I'm sure PinSound has been discussed in this thread before, but not anytime recently that I can recall. For both long-time and new owners, I highly recommend that one of the first investments you make regarding upgrades for this pin is PinSound

I agree with you. PinSound is the best mod for JP (with OST remix). My friends came to play JP and told me "Are you sure this game is built in 1993? Why the sound and music is not like the age?". Because of PinSound, it makes a big difference.

Quoted from JohnJN:

For those with PinSound+ boards in their JP's -- did you all also install the DE Power Booster when you did your install?
The install video on their website doesn't mention it at all for this board, but did come inside the full DE pin sound package so I installed it with the board.... that's fine right?

Yes. I did install the power booster. Works fine.

Did anyone else know they had the ramp in stock?
https://www.pinballlife.com/data-east-jurassic-park-main-ramp-assembly.html
I just ordered it... not cheap on shipping but it's available.

Please share picture after you installed it. Thanks!

Quoted from winteriscoming:

JP and not JW?
They can go start their own Stern club, then! No way Stern puts out a better JP than what we've got in the DE version.

A stern JP with bubble head T-rex bash toy, two large hit targets with "Jurassic" and "Park". Two ramp. 3 pop bumpers without JP logo top on it.

Another raptor bash toy under the ramp (same as Munsters)
