sandiego.craigslist.org link

#3903 6 years ago

Selling a Jurassic Park Smart Scoop Lighting kit (available in pinside marketplace). I got it for my JP, but never had the chance to install it before I sold the game. $60 includes shipping, and an awesome Jurassic Park keychain. PM me if interested. I dont seem to have the install instructions, but I imagine it is online.

Has anyone installed a newer red stern led in thier j.p? My orange dmd was toast and i was offered a stern led for under half what i could get an original dmd for.
Its installed with is own power supply and the red looks good with the game, but it chops off the top row and puts it on the bottom on some screens, and also some smaller writing looks a little blurry. Im not too worried if there is no fix, as it was the cheap option and its not too bad, just seeing if there is an easy fix.
Sorry if this has been asked before
Justin

Here is one for 40 bucks. Are these things always high? or is there a place to get a deal on just one of these things? Maybe I can get a great deal if I wait until TPF next year, anyone have an idea if I might be able to find a deal on one of these at TPF??

I posted something in the TZ club thread. Maybe someone will come forward?

#3918 6 years ago

A pinsider sold me mine for pretty cheap its not a ceramic ball. You can buy 4 packs of colored balls, I wish I could remember who was selling them, he had broken up a few packs to sell individual, I think it was less that $20. In that ball park anyway.

Found it http://shop.modmypin.com/ $48 for 4 balls. Maybe you can find 3 other people.

comes to $56 for an order, which = $14/ball. I'm in for 1 + reasonable shipping costs ($3-4?). I can do the deal and shipping if I get 3 other folks interested and paid up

I'll give one a try.

$15 from Mezel Mods. Get the Pearl White. Doesn't glow. Looks good as the egg. Still held up after about a year and a half in my machine.

Make sure you install it properly...it can be a little tricky!

Sorry guys/gals, I decided to go with the one from mezel mods. Use coupon code: excited for 10% off - came out to $18.27 shipped which is probably about as good as it's going to get. I'll report back on how it goes

#3927 6 years ago

So on another note, the ball keeps hitting the top green target when coming out of the shooter lane before it goes into the pop bumper area. What is the most likely culprit thats causing this issue?

No problem, I decided to go that route too.

I have the same issue, mine is so bad it never actually makes it into the pop bumper area from the shooter lane any longer.

#3930 6 years ago
Quoted from C65Mustang:

You need to adjust the curved ball guide in the shooter lane.

#3931 6 years ago

Also clean the shooter assembly, make sure the coil is snug and replace the coil sleeve. Mine did the same thing when i got it. After cleaning, the ball hits the pops at launch every time.

#3932 6 years ago

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a high res image or template of the front cabinet art? The rest of my cabinet looks great so I don't want to spend the money on a new set of decals, but unfortunately the previous owner installed a lock bar and I want to patch up the holes and repaint it.

#3933 6 years ago

If I took a straight on shot with a dslr would that fit the bill?

#3934 6 years ago
Quoted from Lonzo:

Lonzo for the win again! Unfortunately I had to move mine so far forward in the notch for the 1st screw that I couldn’t get the 2nd screw back in. D3C3C070-F519-4C19-AF0C-BEDFF9DC8462 (resized).jpegD3C3C070-F519-4C19-AF0C-BEDFF9DC8462 (resized).jpeg

I’ll give the coil cleanup a try because it didn’t do for the first 10 or so times after I started the pin up but progressively got worst as I continued to cycle the plunger. Perhaps it’s also coil and heat related too.

#3935 6 years ago

Be sure to check first that the guide didn't move back. I think that would be the most likely culprit.

#3936 6 years ago
Quoted from Chalkey:

It would. Thanks!

#3937 6 years ago

Joining the club. Stumbled over a JP which really needs some attention but playfield appears to be OK and plastics are whole and new motor for TRex is with it so took a risk as price was right. The missing PCB, motor and subway are included, just not in the picture.

A 2nd cabinet was included which is in better shape as this one. A bigger task as I am used to, apparently ready for next step in pinball resto

I would like to illuminate the words When the dinosaur is ruled the Earth, could you please explain how to do it? What to buy and how to connect it considering that I'm not very good at electronics.

Welcome to the newbies!

Sigh... Am I the only one with black dino-less speaker grills? lol

Hey Clint,

I don't have a set for sale, however I do have a lightly used set that I will send free of charge to you today via UPS. I had them on my JP for a few months and decided to go back to a stock look.

Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoy your JP Loop Combo scoop mods.

I didn't say that I did not like them. I wanted to go back to a stock look on my JP and that is what I did.

Other than plastic protectors and a ceramic powerball for the dinosaur egg, my JP is now completely stock.
