Thanks for this heads up!
I went ahead and bought a full set this morning. I didn't need all of them but figured it didn't hurt to have them. Some of the bigger pieces I may try to resell to help refill the pinball expense pot.

I just ordered a set as well. JP plastic sets have been in high demand for a long time.

Just bought a set. Now I can get rid of that horrible orange sling plastic. Happy days!!

Figures, after I buy them from Germany.
As seen here, some JP fans were quicker to the punch in alerting themselves to these last night (in the wee hours) than me getting this announcement up during 'primetime' the day after.
Regardless, CPR would like to announce we have completed the DE Jurassic Park plastics sets, and they are shipping now.
Available in the plastics section of our Store:

awesome! I have a melted raptor pit plastic! hurrah!
Quoted from Lonzo:Figures, after I buy them from Germany.
I did a paypal dispute on those German ones after the seller refused a return
Only lost $40
Quoted from Chitownpinball:Are they supposed to be that blue? That blue looks too deep to me. Maybe its the white backing?
That can be hard to judge from pictures, but there's also the potential for stock plastics to have faded a bit, and maybe they had references for original color codes? In my opinion, with repro plastics you're better off installing the full set and not mixing in old plastics. That way you're getting consistent colors, if any variations from stock exist.
The fact of the matter is that unless you find a NOS set, CPR's are always going to be THE best option for the price.
Quoted from woody24:So who was the ones that sold the plastic protectors?
Are you referring to this?
Gord
Yep, I'm guessing those are it. If I got the new reproduction plastics, I'd probably get those just as reinforcement.
Am I correct that CPR's raptor pit plastic is altered from stock around the hole where the amber block's bulb wiring is routed? I've removed my plastics before and recall having to desolder some bulbs to get that one off. If it's a change, it's probably for the better because you would be able to remove the plastic without messing with unwiring the bulbs.

Oh yeah. I remember doing that too, and remember thinking that if I was ambitious, I was going to splice in a connector to be able to easily remove it if needed.

It appears that you are correct. This is a very welcome change as far as I am concerned. It will make future removal of this plastic much easier. You cannot see this part of the plastic anyways since it is behind the stand-up amber toy.

OK, I am trusting you on this one. Just ordered a set.
I only have 1 broken plastic (above bunker from installing my scoop mod ), but was debating on the orange slingshots just last night on ebay lol.
I will do a review video when they come in. I'll try and do some side by sides, as best I can, but I don't want to go taking my machine apart anymore than I have to
And this is the sorry of your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother and that time she ate a human sitting on a toilet.
Any one with a 3d pronter interested in pumping out a few east dock signs? I COULD make a crappy one from sticks and paper, but it would be nice to have a 3d printed one that I could apply stickers to. Just a thought. Any one?

There were some a while ago, but I would be fully in support if someone made some new ones!

I can do it. Do you have the file? Otherwise, send me some pictures and measurements and I'll build the model myself. I don't have a JP any more, but we can probably work together to get it right.

I would buy one of those.
I still have some alt translites available if anyone wants one, as posted in this topic: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/2-new-alternative-jurassic-park-translites

I dont have an actual 3d printer file, just the files for the signs.

Just wanted to repost the east dock sign picture. This isn't mine just saw that it wasn't on here any longer and figured it needed to be. This was created by pinsider RussMyers.
Added over 7 years ago: actually found where this east dock sign came from 4 years ago in an older thread. Figured I really needed to give libtech the credit for the sign

Ditto, it would be fun to light it mirrored to the boat dock lighting.
One quick check...... does anyone have any information on this Jurassic Park Ford Explorer mod.
I saw this thread but all the images are not found and reading this it sounds like a cool mod

You should look into the acrylic sign cover type things that go in front of your condom'd scoop lights. Not sure who made them, but they look good if you're into extra signage. Might be hard to see, but this is the only picture I have handy at the moment. They're above each scoop.
Found who does them LoopCombo:

I received my CPR plastics. Overall they seem decent, and as I mentioned in an earlier post, probably THE best option outside of an overpriced unavailable NOS set, or the incomplete direct printed German set, but as I suspect is often the case where repro art has to be redrawn from scratch, close comparisons to the originals are likely going to lead to disappointment.
Just a quick comparison between a stock blue sling and the repro: The repro blue is darker. The repro has some loss in detail where the stock image had finer black lines and the repro's lines are thicker, causing details to be lost. This particular plastic has a dithered dot pattern going from white to full blue. The dot pattern is different and flowing a slightly different direction.
I am disappointed by the loss of detail, but the fact is that we're not going to see a better offering for these from here on out.
I won't be able to get around to installing these for any kind of full review any time soon. I'll be interested to read reviews from others with concern for light transmission, fit, etc.

Mine came today!
You are right in line with what I wanted to say but you had a little more detail about the lines and such so I second yours!
Long story short...Would they pass as 100% NOS? No. But they are really good, and actually a little thicker than expected.
If you've got cracks, you won't be dissapointed!
I compared a few pieces side by side and noticed like the the repros by the flippers, and the shooter lane are a tad smaller sitting right on top of original, so you would probably want to replace "mirrored" or similar ones in pairs to not notice. This might also be recommended with the darker blue.
The most important thing is that atleast the ones I spot checked quick, was that the screw holes actually lined up with the screws!
If I were to refer to them as these being scanned, there are subtle differences where centering is different than NOS, but really you have to take them for what they are....they are not direct "rip-off" copies reprinted from a scanner. These are from an actual artist, recreating them in painstaking detail, even down to the handwritten # codes that were on the originals. Just wanted to make sure that was known cause alot of people just looking for plastics would probably assume scanned.
I did not get into actual installation, and didn't even realize some like the gate are riveted, so I didn't bother trying light behind it. I am debating on keeping them as insurance vs selling them, so I also did not take the protective coating off of them either.
As discussed above, the raptor pit one does have the opening a little different to make installation easier than stock with the connection.
I did record as unboxing to get a start to a video, so hope to get one up soon.
I also got mine today and I agree with winteriscoming and
Meloyelo51.
Two points to note:
1. CPR plastics are MUCH thicker than the originals, which is great.
2. Although the blue is darker (more of a royal blue than original), I think it has the possibility to look better than stock.
I'll be installing some plastics for a direct comparison tomorrow night.
Here's some quick photos I took:
***Note, I haven't peeled the frond and back protective layers, so these pieces look a bit duller on the floor.

Terrible light job, but that's all I have at this time of night.
Quoted from winteriscoming:There are 2 wires going to the coil on the back of the t-rex, probably sheathed. They should be exposed to where you can see the color going to each lead on the coil. Make a note of which color goes on which lead in relation to the diode (banded side or not) and look where they connect under the PF (I can't quite remember where they terminate off hand). Replace the entire sheath with both wires. The break could be in either wire, so just replace it all.
Thanks for all the help and advice--have some downtime coming up in a week and planning on taking a shot (my first time) at replacing the two wires but can someone lend some insight on how to identify wire gauge material? I haven't totally exposed the wires yet for the TREx (they're sheathed in gray plastic) but looks like maybe there's a black one and a white one. Do the colors tell me what to replace it with (like black is a certain gauge and type and anything black is universally the same thing)? Also, any recommended sources for where to buy wire replacement?
Bonus question -- after replacing the two wires is there some type of general "heat shrink" sheathing wrap or something that I can use to replicate the original (and assume protect it from wear and tear)?
Thanks again for helping with the education of a new (but enthusiastic!) pin owner.
Ok, got a the quick review vid of the plastics done. Spot checked a few side by side:

No, not till I'm a big enough YouTuber to pay for my plastics. The plastic I broke was from making another video so I don't wanna take mine apart till I have to. The original intent was to add HD photos of each one, but their site already has that, and I can't really show light behind them without installing it, as comment23 beat me to the desk lamp mod and already put up some photos.
Any one with an set of blue slings you want to part with let me know. Lots of people probably replacing plastics these days
Here are some more comparison shots that I was able to get tonight:

My earlier post was pretty optimistic that perhaps the darker blue may be "more dynamic", but honestly I'm starting to feel a bit disappointed by these. In my opinion, you would not be able to mix together the two sets of plastics (much like I have done with other CPR sets Like DESW).

Very disappointing. Basically bought the whole set to grab what I needed and part out the rest. Guess I'm holding onto them all at this point and they'll get changed when I do a the next shop job in a few years...
And the 2835 are 2 SMD LED. I do the 5050 which are 1 SMD...
Hmm, these look a lot different from the originals.
We were going to produce a mini kit for JP but held off once I heard CPR were doing a set. Apart from the color differences and light pass issues the lines look a little heavy as if the art has been autotraced in Illustrator, hence why some detail is lost.
I think we'll go ahead with our mini kit and get as close to original as possible.
