Wpuld it have killed something if I had been put in backwards at first?

I doubt making a mistake with the ROM would damage something specific with TREX moving. It sounds like other functions are working like DMD, etc.

Is TREX set in exactly in the center position? If the center switch is not pressed, it won't try to go up/down.

I'll have to take a look! He seems ro be a bit off. How is the best way to adjust it? Don't want to create even more of an issue hahaha.

Found this and will play around this evening. Thanks for the guidance!

Has anyone put in a pinsound board/system in their JP? Worth it? Did you also put in new speakers? Thanks!

#8058 3 years ago
Quoted from bossk4hire:

100% all in for the following:
- PinSound
- PinSound Shaker
- PinSound Speakers
- PinSound Headphones Station

Just search this thread and you will see all kinds of positive comments regarding the PinSound products for JP. Like many other games, it completely changes (vastly improves) the overall game play experience. Also, IMO, the PinSound Shaker is a must (but then again, I'm the one that wrote the shaker routine for it). Honestly, it is a vast improvement over the OEM shaker and much more integrated with gameplay.

#8059 3 years ago

Leaving the club...

I am going to sell:
Brand new full CPR plastic set
New plastic protector set (Pinbits)
Bumper cap set (with T-rex on it)
GI controller board (EnerGI Maestro).

Before I upload to Market one by one, any interest about a good package deal (no worries, I am going to pay fee in any case)? Please send me a PM.
Maybe I can throw in my last ball through opto board into the package.

Thanks.

#8060 3 years ago

I have the pinsound board. I recenlty had to reload the sound mixes. the Original works fine, but the Endprodukt one seems to have audio glitches? Has anyone else noticed that recently? sounds like the file is corrupt to me. Anyone else experience this?

I have no issues whatsoever. Are you on the latest firmware?

Yeah, latest firmware. tried a fresh download it it still makes a chirp noise like a bad MP3 file. the original sound package works just fine. it is weird. makes playing with the updated one an unpleasant experience.

I have listed my JP. It has over $2000 in mods. If anyone is interested, make an offer for some of the mods or the pin without mods...or just getting a pin modded to the hilt.

Yes, the raptor crate is sold. I do still have the Tim's electronic gate mod, however.

Yoyocopter mods are most enticing. Why are you selling the game? Getting a stern?

I already have the Stern JP but I was selling this to create funds for a grail game. It is very bitter sweet. I would have love to have kept It.

The gate, art blades, and the yoyo Kopter scoops have all sold.

I'm right there with you. I'm leaving the club today. I didn't think I would miss it until it was sitting wrapped up waiting for the delivery guy to pick it up.

I would love to have DE and Stern next to each other. I could maybe do that if I went with a pro, since at least one dinosaur would eat the ball still, lol. That is a kid requirement in this house.

I just want something deeper going into this long winter were about to have. Something to keep me occupied. Still love this game though. It really is tough.

#8083 3 years ago

I have a new, unused ramp and used, works great trex motor. Would like to sell both together. Make an offer if interested, if it sells here, ill make the proper payment to pinside. I'll get pics tmrw if needed. Thx

#8084 3 years ago

Sadly I left the club and sold my JP. It was my first pin just felt it was time to shake things up. The last game I played on it just before it was picked up I blew it up and cracked a billion, best game I ever had on it.

#8085 3 years ago

I'm finally in the club!!! This is my #2 favorite game and has been on my wishlist forever.

A few questions for you experts: mine has code dated 10/2015, is this the latest?

What's up with this minor glitch -- the score shown when you're entering your initials doesn't match your actual score?

And, most importantly, where do these two wires go? They're just hanging out in space. Everything appears to be working, so you can imagine my confusion.

Quoted from SkyKing2301:

I can see one is WHT-GRN which is row 5 of the switch matrix. Check the switches listed for row 5.

Any switches not working in that row? Remember the wires chain along, so a secondary wire falling off one switch would affect the next switches in line. The center scoop is there. Maybe it fell off that? (that switch takes a beating and the wires and diode often loosen up there)

All of my switches are working. Here's another photo, I've circled where they originate, if anyone could take a peek at theirs...

I just got mine, too!! Those two white-green wires both go to one terminal on the switch for the lower right kick-out hole plunger.

I have a similar issue also. The torch lites on the gate do not work. As I traced the wires, I found this loose one (red-black) which I stripped but could not figure out where it gets soldered. The torch lites are red-blue and yello-blue, so I don't know if the loose wire is involved. Can someone check theirs?

I should mention that mine does not have the bus bar/connections you show, so that's worth noting.

The bus bar is a diode bank for either switches or lamps, usually lamps.

I really wanted to love this pin, but can't feel the desire to keep it. Maybe the lack of flow or the strange flipper behaviour? I don't know.
Same happened with my Funhouse.

Have you checked the wiring for all of the lamps in ROW 2 of the lamp matrix which is for the RED-BLACK wire? You may want to review the attached excerpt from the JP User Manual.

You will need to click on the lamp matrix chart shown below to view both pages of the excerpt. Page 2 of this excerpt shows the actual lamp locations on the playfield. Each lamp from ROW 2 should have a RED-BLACK wire attached to it. I am guessing that your mystery RED-BLACK wire came loose from one of these ROW 2 lamps.

JP Lamp MatrixJP Lamp Matrix

#8096 3 years ago

This is very helpful except there is another red-black wire attached to a bus in the immediate vicinity of the stray one. So, can I safely assume per the lamp matrix chart that the loose red-black one attaches to the other red-black wire connection (?), although I found no evidence or remnant of a break there. I was hoping another DE JP could just double check this on their machine to be sure.

#8097 3 years ago

Just checked again, and there are actually not one but TWO other red-black wire connections (separated by a diode) right nearby the stray wire. If the stray does in fact belong on one of those two solder points, then I would have to know which one.

I took several photos under my JP playfield of the RED-BLACK wire connections. There is a small board with 2 diodes and two RED-BLACK wire connections which sounds like it may be your issue. I hope that these photos are good enough for your troubleshooting.

#8100 3 years ago

Many thanks GRB1959 for going to the trouble. My apologies. I see now I should have given coordinates for the location: the stray red-black wire is located next to the right side under-playfield hinge pin near the back of the machine. If you look at my photo, the other 2 red-black wires in question share the same junction strip with red-brown and yellow-grey wire pairs. You can see part of the hinge pin there. Thanks!
