Does anyone know what this is on my JP apron? Here are the things that I know about it:

1. It is square
2. It is filled with some kind of gooey/goopy material (almost like melted plastic)
3. Looking at pictures on IPDB, there doesn't appear to be anything missing here (and seems to be factory?)
4. There is nothing on the underside of the apron in this area
5. It is only partially covered by the lockdown bar
6. It serves no purpose as far as I can tell, other than to get crap all over your hands/fingers

Strange that it is now a liquid goo and not some brittle solid (if old and dried out). I am not sure that I want to touch it anymore.

Not yet, but I want to be in the I-Touched-That-Icky-Stuff-On-DE-Aprons Club, so I probably will when I get home.
