Stern knocked it out of the ballpark with their new Jurassic Park 1.10 code. But do you miss the "movie code" (version 1.05) when playing? Even though you are missing out on all the incredible, new, gameplay options provide in version 1.10?

I offer you a compromise. The "movie code", to me, is a party trick to show off your game to disinterested "friends and family". How about this to show off your pinball machine while still running the latest (and greatest) code?

This is a 30th Anniversary celebration of the original Jurassic Park movie and the trilogy with new attract mode videos to impress the rubes, but you get to enjoy all the great new code.

Pro is finished
Pending Stern updating the Pre/LE version for the gate issue and then will release the custom code. Message if interested.

Premium/LE/30th LE will be available when Stern resolves the Raptor gate issue.

Great new code!

huh? This has nothing to do with the movie code. At all.

Move along.

Nice work. Excellent editing and awesome transitions. This must have taken you a lot of time. A true celebration of the new 30th anniversary code. Hook me up brother!

#10 3 months ago

I thought I was only one with the gate issue with the new code. Thank you

#11 3 months ago

Sweet! PM me after the gate fix is release. I'll have to weigh this attract mode 1.10 vs the full movie 1.05

Can't believe anyone would trade an outlane save for a movie clip. I guess that's the dividing lane between players & lunchbox collectors.

The game has basically been at full code for awhile now -movie clips or not. The new features simply don’t appeal to me personally but perhaps make the game a better experience for others.

#14 3 months ago

What I'm saying is, if having an extra outlane save (aka extra ball) to progress further in the game doesn't appeal to you, you aren't a player. Which is fine, the hobby takes all kids.

I mean.

You could just do what normal 'players' do and death save the right outlane.

#16 3 months ago

Nah, that's cheating.

#17 3 months ago

I'm updating the already released, Pro code. While playing today, I had an idea and have executed it. Movie footage of the visitor center, their initial drive up and walk-in, replacing the computer graphics of a dragonfly flying in the pond in front of the visitor center.

I like the waterfall clip that plays during high score entry and during attract mode when displaying all the scores. So I kept that.

The game graphics of the helicopter flying in and landing - LOOKS way better than the movie scene. Just mentioning that since I've been watching movie scenes while editing clips. Watching the movie, it's like wow a helicopter flying over a forest canyon. Big whoop.

Nedry saves… for real players.
Tshirt slogan alert..

Wrists getting too old for this shit!

#20 3 months ago

I always read NERDY at first glance.

When my wife first put some games on it, one time she right outlane drained. She laughed because the game called her "Nerdy" for draining the ball.

Right? I've noticed that for me, it's Rush that will make my right wrist feel a little stiff. I guess it's extra flipper presses plus really fast flipper presses needed for combos off the upper right flipper.

Ill be sending my kid's lunch to school inside the 30th Anniversary pin

Uhm not really. I have made it to visitor centre almost every game so have played since updating. On the 1.05 it was a real challenge getting there. So I would consider a “player” someone who doesn’t need the game easier to have success but you do you. PS. You can also just set it to 5 balls if you just want to progress further.

#24 3 months ago

PoMC....

Please PM me when you have the Premium code ready, I would love to test it for you.

Thx

Lol, let me know when you escape Nublar.

Well I didn’t say I was a “player” LOL. On the new code it will not be a regular occurrence but it will happen much more often than 1.05. Only 3 times in 3 years did I make Nublar on 1.05 and sad to admit I never escaped. I did escape just doing the challenge separately but that doesn’t count.

Will get it ready when Stern releases the code update to fix the raptor issue.

yeah many people aren't, but some are. So knowing a new update is coming I was going to wait to release it. But I do have it almost finished - worked on it until I saw people having issues with the raptor gate.

Maybe I'll finish it today and post it for anyone who isn't having issues.

Anyone noticed muffled sound with the new 1.10/1.11 code. My old school pinwoofer setup sounded great with the movie code, now sounds like crap.

Try this?

Settings - Utilities - Volume Levels
Set the Audio Filter to NONE.

Pinball Browser can now open code 1.11.

I'm finishing my updates to Iron Maiden 1.13 code now since I began working on it last night while waiting for JP code 1.11.

#41 3 months ago

Finished Maiden and right now updating the 1.05 Movie Code with my new 30th Anniversary attract videos. Then getting to the 1.11 code.

#44 3 months ago

Back to work on this in the morning. I was updating the 1.05 movie code with the new 30th video clips but ran into corruption with the firmware a few times. Pro is finished, need to re-do Pre/LE and then work on the 1.11.

I have all the codes ready and I think I replied to everyone. Pinside forces you to donate to be able to reply to more than 15 messages. I'm not donating, no thanks, so maybe missed someone.

Just message me if I have. Make sure to tell me what model game you have too.

#46 3 months ago

FYI

I was unable to get this setting to stay changed in Pinball Browser.

So go to the Settings - Utilities - Volume Levels
Set the Audio Filter to NONE.

Any issues with writing the image, use this method instead of Etcher.

Use Win32DiskImager, which is what I always use. Etcher, the app Stern mentions in their guide, does seem to cause issues from time to time.

So is the deal with this code is that V1.05 has all new videos throughout the game and V1.11 just has new movies in attached mode?

#49 3 months ago
Quoted from VisitorQ:So is the deal with this code is that V1.05 has all new videos throughout the game and V1.11 just has new movies in attached mode?

From my understanding.

1.05 is the old movie code with the new attract videos.

1.11 is the standard game code with the new attract videos.

I never ran any of these but I am about too but when you say "old movie code" does that mean that the modes in the game have different animations? I did run different code on my Stranger Things at one time and that changed both callouts and music in the game. I also remember playing AIQ that had movie clips in it instead of the Stern animations.

I think what I am failing to understand is why wouldn't v1.11 have the new attach modes but not the "old movie code"? I mean providing I am understanding things here correctly....
