My frend shopped/refurbished this for me. Ill let him chime in if he wants. I had a much more elementary job in shopping out an HUO TSPP during this time. Lots of stuff way above my skill level in this one.

OK, I have a JY and one of those Maisto VW Buses:

Can he chime in with exactly how he did the bus?

I would especially like to see details on how he mounted it and how he did the lights and wiring.

Thanks,

I had a sample JY with the magnet for years but was always told there wasn't any code to support it.

I read this thread a few months ago. If this is true and I still had my JY, I would track down this game in New Zealand and get the proto roms.

Some of the earliest JYs have the magnet installed, some have the hole just filled with a plug, and the vast majority have no magnet and no hole. Just an insert under the art.

AFAIK, no code to run the magnet ever made it out of testing. My understanding is that it was supposed to grab the crane ball and hold it in place, but it kept grabbing balls in play, so the idea was scrapped.

I wonder instead, was anything meant to go in that big open unused area in the top right under the Magic Bus and ramp?

That thing is so clean, it doesn't seem right called it a Junk Yard. Good job for sure.

I can show some pics of the bus and mounting bracket. Pinbits or pinball decals sells led kit for headlights but this one is a custom job. It does use a different bracket. My wife picked that particular bus because it looks like it belongs in a junkyard

Man, that is a sweet bus! I own JY and I wish I can find a custom bus (or custom anything for that matter).
