Howdy, I know there is another thread out there on adding a custom VW bus to Junk Yard, but I wanted to add one that shows each step in case anyone has questions on how to make it work. I started with the Maista Hippie bus from eBay. It was a little more than the plain bus, but I like how it looks. I bought it from a seller in the UK. Shipping was very fast.

Next, I removed OEM bus from Junk Yard along with the bracket that holds it. I took the Maista bus apart and looked at how the bracket would fit on the new roof of the new bus.

Next, I used a dremel tool with a cutout disc and a xuron snip tool to cut out the bottom of the bus and the interior so the bracket would fit. I was nervous about ruining the bus, but it worked out well. It doesn't look very neat, but it won't be viewable.

Next, after marking the holes for the bracket on the underside of the roof, I drilled the holes to attach attach the bus to the mounting plate. Before moving on two the next step, I test fit the bus on the bracket to make sure it fit in my Junk Yard. I installed the bracket back into the pinball machine at this point.

Next, I added a purple 44 bulb to the backseat of the bus. If I did this again, I'd use a purple LED light strip from Comet. I'm using a 9V to light it on my workbench. I used 24 gauge wire and was generous with the length in case I'd have to remove the bus in the future.

Finally, I sent the wires through the nearby hole under the van and soldered them to the closest GI bulb. All in all took me about two hours (And I'm slow). Happy Modding, thanks for looking!
