I have all leds in mine. Probably a hair darker than bulbs. Yes leds are either on or off. I have pot ceiling lights in my basement on a dimmer.
I had to put my junk yard machine under one. Yes this machine can get pretty dark from time time during gameplay, very unique.
Its a great game. Breaking into a junk yard at night. Thats the theme.
Junk Yard score cards
This was not my creation. However, I did try to resize it. Wanted to share this score card with all who might like it also.
I hope I did a good job. Getting the size right is not easy.
Printing tips. Photo paper and uncheck fit to page on your printer.

Anyone know if anyone is going to re-make the left ramp assembly?

Someone did about 7 months ago, here on pinside.
Yes, mine hits magic bus switch and bounces back, a bit. Sometimes confuses the machine. It thinks the ball is not there or is still waiting for it. Called switch bounce. Then we have to open coin door then and wait 5 seconds the magic bus solenoid retract and let the ball pass.
This may fix that problem too. I need to work on my problem with switch also.
Nice, and glad to hear. The 3d printed car surround and color dmd are the best two mods. Junk Yard is an underrated game in my opinion.
I like the video modes and the silly theme it has.
Nice work. It's fun machine. I bought a routed machine a few years back. It needed a ton of hard work too.
Quoted from ChrisPINk25:Little holes get worn into the board solder where the bulb twists in causing a poor connection. Usually what you did works, but not always. You would have to remove the board to freshen up the solder for that bulb holder.
This is so true. Hard one to narrow down to this. The bulb is good only works sometimes, but not very much, or not at all. Checked all the connectors and the wires look good. Add more solder to pcb light socket, where socket makes twist in connection on the board. Wow sounds easy now!
Quoted from pfpNL:Hi all,
Since I'm new to this group, I'd like to introduce myself:
I'm Pete, from the Netherlands, and since the beginning of March I own a Junk Yard pinball machine.
Which is lots of fun to play, although it's not in excellent condition yet, but working on it!
I've already found lots of interesting posts here, thanks!
I like this game for the zanny, fun theme. It make people smile. I also love Popeye and Roadshow for the same reason.
Looking for these IDC wedge base lamp sockets with diode, for Junk Yard machine. These go in the translite housing assembly. The corrosion keeps getting worse and lights do not work sometimes. I would like to buy some. New or use is good, does not matter. Can anyone help locate these. I need 5 white ones with diode, and one black one, no diode. The black one with a cable tie on it is close. But does not fit. That is from macos.
LAMP SOCKET - WEDGE BASE#24-8818IDC lamp socket used in System 11 and newer pinball machines. Reference: 24-8818
Help please!

IMG_0628[1] (resized).JPGmarcos (resized).pngIMG_0629[1] (resized).JPGSee the hole is bigger then these sockets. The snap in tabs are missing from these sockets. No tabs at the end. I guess if I get desperate I can cable ties.
Thanks to everyone offering help. You folks know how tracking down parts can be a headache. I am going to try to post this so next person can find info on a search of this problem. B/W WPC 95 back board light panel sockets with and without diode. l Have some of these they will work/fit. Also looks like the yellow
ones no diode, not sure I do not have one of those yet. No they will not match the rest of your sockets in panel.

Just saying a new opto is 25% brighter than an old one. Also they don’t last for ever. The sender and receiver pair is like $7.
Glad we have so many nice helpful people. It really helps makes it easier to keep these older games in good condition.
