I have a fully operational jungle queen except for 2 issues.

#1 - I can only start a 2 player game. Once the games are started, everything works as it should. If I manually actuate "P" Add Player Unit Relay, I can add the 3rd and 4th player and all players play correctly after that.

#2 - After I play 2 full games, I can't start a new game. When I push the start button, the score unit spins once and the S and V relays actuate but quickly de-actuate without resetting the game. If I turn it off and immediately back on it does the same thing. If I wait a couple of minutes with it off then turn it back on, everything works.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Unfortunately I’m not able to access my way working jungle queen, but I may be able to help. For issue #1, watch the coin unit as you press the replay button. It should move one step each time. Yours could be gummed up or the switch that limits you at 4 players could be getting opened. I recall having that problem on another 4 player Gottlieb where the spring loaded pawl that helps the unit increment was flipped back away from the gear so that it didn’t do anything. Hard to describe, but easy to see in person.

#2 is a stranger problem. I’d suspect a dirty switch or sticky relay if it needs to “cool off”. I just had a problem like that where a relay would stick when cold and then get going fine.

Good luck, you’ll get it sorted out.

Check this 4th Position switch on the Coin unit.

If the S relay doesn't activate this coil
on the Reset Completed relay (AX), Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires
